Trix is still feeling a bit bouncy this morning, but is working on clearing it.
I mentioned a few days ago that I found inconsistencies between Dr Lisa's food charts regarding the Weruva (which includes "Cats in the Kitchen) flavors. On the chart where foods are listed by brand, many of the flavors seemed like they'd be fine for our FD kitties as well as our FD/CKD kitties, but when I cross-referenced them in the "phosphorous" chart, these same Weruva foods had carbs that were through the roof. So last night I e-mailed Dr Lisa to ask which chart was correct. She said the "by brand" chart is correct; she had gotten updated info from Weruva but hasn't had a chance to get the phosphorous chart updated. This is awesome news, as it gives us more options!
So, for breffis, we had Cats in the Kitchen Chicken Frick 'A Zee. This stuff is actually shredded white meat chicken, as opposed to completely unrecognizable mush. I'm vegan, but I think non-vegan humans could actually consider eating this stuff! Trix and Frankie gave it mixed reviews. They really seemed to enjoy the flavor, but to be honest, they didn't seem to know how to eat it, since they are used to "slurping" their fuds rather than chewing it  ! I think once they get the hang of it, it will be a keeper....it's staying in the rotation, but for now I may blend it with a pate, until they get the hang of biting into it. Someone DID "mystery CPC' what I left down after I went BTB. The KibbleHeads (aka, The Triplets - Noah, Petey, and Zen) continue to express complete and utter disinterest in any and all of these new fuds we're trying out. Maybe some day....
Anyway, the proof is in the pudding (or, in this case, the Frick 'A Zee!) with the food charts...no fuds spike, so from a BG perspective, we're in good shape with this one.
In other news, it is snowing yet again...hard. 5"-8" predicted    . I am SO done with this weather...
Time to get ready for work...have a great day, LL!
