Trix broke her bounce overnight...I was surprised by that 160 this morning since she was at 297 at +4ish last night. I am glad she food spiked a little bit this morning...she is one who is inclined to drop (rather than rise) when under stress so I actually prefered that slightly higher number for her vetty day.

I just dropped her off. My vet is awesome, and the place is well-staffed....but they definitely have communication issues there. I spoke to a different vetty yesterday about my concerns, because my regular vet was off. This non-regular vetty told me it was OK if I got Trix there between 8 & 9 instead of their usual 7:00am, and that I did not have to fast her. I got a call at 8:00 this morning asking where Trix was because they were expecting her at 7:00 ohmygod_smile . I explained my conversation yesterday, and they said OK. Then they said, "You did fast her, right?" ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile . So I explained Part II of my conversation yesterday. The girl I was speaking with this morning double-checked and said it was OK, so we are set to go.

Of course I had to fight tears as they walked off with her :sad: ...she was so happy and toasty when we had to grab her to leave.

As usual, she CPCed her PLC, and I took some with me for them to offer her, although I don't know if she'll actually eat while there.

We may not have the results for a day or two...more suspense.

And, now that the snow is all gone...we are expecting a couple more inches today. I don't believe any seasons other than winter exist anymore.

I so hear you on the glad to see a higher BG this morning. I always did too, and Mannie was one of those whose BG's dropped when he went to the vetty. Always an anomaly that one. WOW on the communications snafu. Glad it all worked out though, and a big yes on the fast thing... I know Trixie will be fine, try not to worry. It is interesting that you have to wait for results. Is this because it is done by a mobile tech? I suspect so... with us I had a consult right after the procedure. I wonder hoe well I would have handled having to wait. :? Be good Trixie, and eat your fuds while you wait.

I will hope that the pending snows bypass you. Crazy weather!

Oh Amy, I know, it breaks my heart every time I have to go or leave Chyna there :cry: . They look all cozy at home and you have to shove them in a carrier, it's hard! I always bawl and feel stupid about bawling on the way to and in the car after I've dropped her off :oops: . I hope that the ultrasound goes good and they get her done early. Comfort and good vetty vines have been sent! :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

(PS I agree with the ohmygod_smile on communication...it's like they don't speak to eachother sometimes :? :lol: )

Hi Amy:

More good vetty vines coming your way, and some calming vines for the stressed out beans! I, too, hate to watch them carry my baby away from me at the vet's. It's harder still to wait at home for the call saying all went well and come get him/her!

If it's any comfort, the hospital I take Cinco to is very big, with a large staff, and communication issues are common there, too. However, I always manage to get things sorted out in the end.

I'll be praying and watching for your updates!

We are home, but won't have results until tomorrow or so. At the moment, that is fine...I feel much better just having her here at home where she belongs. They didn't give her the food I left until after her U/S, which was at 2:30. I hate this travling U/S situation....she was sitting in a cage for hours! But, it's over. Anyway, she did eat there, but of course I had to give her a little treat of PLC when we got home, too, even though we're getting close to dinner. She very happily scarfed it down, had a little drink, used the box, and is now laying in front of the heating vent desperately trying to clean off that yucky vetty smell. Fortunately, none of the other have hissed at her, although they did give her a good sniffing.

I'm going to do her dinner a little early tonight, to help get her feeling comforted and secure.

Glad to hear Trixie is home where she belongs!

The waiting to hear is the hardest part!

Try to think positive. Worrying about the "what if's" will drive you crazy.

As I said in Tricia and Cinco's condo, they really should prescribe some kind of tranquilizer for the bean while we're waiting to hear back!

This is SO true :lol: !!! They should send us home with our cat and a nice bottle of wine :lol: !!!

She just had a lovely din-dins which makes me :-D . I don't know what for sure is going on with her crazy kidney numbers, but she is feeling wonderful and that is really all that matters.

Yay for being home, feeling well and eating! I agree with Chris about not letting the "what ifs" drive you crazy. It's advice I'm going to be repeating to myself a lot over the next few days.

I also agree about the bottle of wine! Of course, I have plenty here already - we are "winos" (the nickname our wine-drinking friends call each other by) and have over 500 bottles of the stuff. Too bad you're on the other side of the country or I'd bring you over a bottle or two! :-D

So just relax now and enjoy your radiant cat. You can't change what the results will be by thinking about it. Hugs. :YMHUG:

Wow...I've been able to use Mr Greenie twice this week :shock: ....looks like we might have a busy night ahead of us!

Now my mind is racing....we increased her BP meds to twice a day on Sunday, and aside from the bounce, we started seeing better numbers....coincidence? Was uncontrolled high BP responsible for her higher insulin needs and maybe her weird kidney values? I know vetty said it was one possibility, and now I am wondering....or grasping or something.

I have a feeling she's still dropping because she's looking hard for fuds even though I just gave her a dollup of PLC, so I will be doing a +2.5 soon....I don't want to wait any longer than that.

Flat so far....but she is in bottomless pit mode! As soon as we were done with that +2.5, she headed straight to the fridge!!!

I sure wish I knew the answers to your questions but I can't draw a connection between BP and BG. Doesn't mean there might not be one, I just can't make a connection in my mind but the timing is coincidental.

I hope you get really good news tomorrow. I'm very lucky here as the u/s vets allow us to stay in the room for the u/s and tell us what they see as they look.
