Afternoon all,
I had to work this morning so just now posting. yesterday
Shadow has been camped out on the couch all morning since I left and ate her partial raw turkey with friskies poultry platter mixed in for lunch.
Her fasting begins at 9pm tonite and I will take her in at 7:45 am and I stay with her until the last moment when it's time to start surgery.
She will get under my shirt to hide, even after they give her the first sedative to relax. But it helps her not get so wound up.
If she gets put in a cage, she starts freaking out and rolling on her back and she panicks.
She'll likely start pestering me at 3 am when she realizes there is no food out.
And then she'll know something ugly is coming and start looking for places to hide.
I keep trying to focus my tho'ts on the other side... picking her up when it's all over.
I don't want to drive you all crazy with how worried I get.
Requesting prayers that this too shall pass and everything will be okay.... it's almost her birthday #12.
She's the oldest personal pet I've ever had. And that too makes me a litle nervous. I never knew cats could make it to 16, 17, 18....or more.
Until I found all of you, I thought we were near our end.
