Thanks everyone for the good wishes. The vet said Chessie was REALLY backed up in her anal glands so I am very glad I took her in.

Pearl didn't eat a thing while I was gone for 3 hours. I really don't know how she is feeling.

oh wow Mouzer is doing so well on this dose!!
There are times you won't get a lot of sleep. Maybe Mouzer is even-ing out now that he is in the green, or maybe he is angling for a reduction we don't know yet. Tonight's cycle will be interesting to see. YOu don't have a lot of data yet in the greens, so you might not sleep as much for a few nights, but you'll get a break at some point I promise.

Usually when Pearl is down in the green with a NADIR in the 50s like you had this AM cycle - and without me knowing what her pattern will be - I test every hour until it's time for bed, and then set my alarm for the next tests, 1-2 hours away depending on her last drop. I determine my next alarm based on each number as it comes. If Mouzer is still dropping when it's time for you to go to bed, I know you know to stay on top of it.

Yes I do set alarm but my body does not just hit the pillow and go to sleep lolol It puts up a fight for an hour to three hours. By the time alarm goes off, I am lucky if I just dozed off and got a couple of minutes sleep. I cant get anything done when testing every hour and it is not just that you test and go do anything ... it is that you test, you sit and try to get them to eat the darn teaspoon lol and I have to fend off other cats while trying to do this and then you come report the numbers and by the time that is done, it is not far away to have to do it again. I wont stop testing until I see a couple of hours where he is only going up and maybe even three before I feel ok enough to give it rest.
This entire day came to a complete halt for Mouzer. I am concerned because what I do has to be done. I cannot let it get down and behind.

Yeah it's just an adjustment to a new normal. You will figure it out ;)

I hope both kitties are feeling better this evening. Sending eating vines to Pearl.
Thanks. I think its a Pancreatitis flare. She is too much on the beach for her normal. And she is very clingy, will only eat if I am holding her and coaxing her. Just crabby and diarrhea. I think I need to start the Buprenex etc tonight and fluids in the morning.

Last time this happened her BGs radically shifted when the attack was over so I hope I can trust that again as a sign she is through. Thank you for your good wishes, Lyla!

LOL Mouzer needs to just go on back in remission ahahahaha
Yeah I was looking at his chart, I don't know how you did it the first time, since cats usually have the pattern where they drop little by little by going under 50. So I don't know how he just did that without any/few reductions in this dosing. I don' tthink that is typical.

Oh Dear LOL Now you scare me :D
Mouzer has not been the typical, even in 2017 when he went into remission.
But I am to forget about the past and go on as if the past did not take place lolol
That is hard to forget.

Oh of course! I just hope I didn't confuse you! I am so glad Katherine and Marje were there. Congrats on your reduction and don't be afraid of giving him that HC.

You did not confuse me.
Your input helped calm me and helped me to figure out to be sure and hold Mouzer's ear with the blood from stick, so I can get a second test if needed and without another stick!
