Well, after much indecision and nail biting I finally wimped out of giving the R tonight as Crystal's numbers were coming down to 230 at PMPS, not great, but a lot better than the pinks she had been stuck in previously. In my head I sort of had a number of 250 as the figure below which I probably wouldn't give R. It all comes down to lack of experience and confidence at the end of the day. Although I have the BEST team possible looking after Crystal's interests I suppose I need to do things in my own time and feel comfortable with what I'm doing. Having said that, if she visits the pinks again for a couple of cycles, out will come the R as I really want her to get back to the lovely blue period she was seeing about a week ago.

OT - my civie Poppydoodle is very quiet and not eating today, she's normally so in-your-face and greedy that there must be something up with her. Hard to tell, no vomitting or anything, perhaps she is just "off colour" but keeping a close watch. See how she goes tomorrow and what I can tempt her with. She's sleeping on the back of her favorite chair, I wish they could tell you what's wrong rather than trying to puzzle it out. Caught her mid munch through a mouse early yesterday morning so perhaps that has upset her, although she was fine last night. Who knows what happens once they go through that door.

Sorry, haven't had time today to visit condos but sending vines to all those in need, and of course, all those who visited and offered support and advice in my previous post, a BIG thank you.

Cats don't always cooperate with the best laid plans. There will be another time. So stay out of those pinks now Crystal!

Sending vines for your Poppydoodle. Hoping it's just an off day. Always worrisome when the good eaters aren't interested in food.

It's not wimpy, Suki. It's perfectly ok - you thought it through and made the best choice for you for now. that's what it's all about!

What Julie said! And, uhm, I do think I've heard that before addressed to a nervous nellie bean and a cat named Polly! ;)

Vines for your Poppydoodle. Hope it's just a little exploring indigestion.

Marilyn and Polly

Hi Julie, Wendy, Marilyn - well, what a wonderful thing hindsight is, Crystal's +3 was 297 so perhaps I should have gone ahead and given the R ... I was hoping she was coming down under her own steam but no such luck.

Thanks for all the Poppydoodle vines, just had some cuddles with her but still very subdued, although purring. Hope she is feeling better tomorrow.

Off for an unscheduled early night.

Back to the dreaded pinks! Was woken by Crystal joining us on the bed and having a snuggle and cuddles, she hasn't ventured upstairs for ages now so that was a nice surprise.

Poppydoodle is much the same, not eating or drinking and doesn't seem to want her mouth investigated, although I persevered and had a look but couldn't see anything obviously wrong. Managed to get a little water into her, drop by drop, Think Miss Poppy is off to the vet in a couple of hours.

Crystal, why couldn't you do that number last night! Nice on the bed snuggles. :)
Exactly Wendy, she obviously didn't fancy all those pokey ears last night. Strangely enough, although her numbers are high this morning, she's quite active and lively this morning.

Pollydoodle seems to have recovered a bit, she made her way to the feeding station and had a small amount to eat, making me open 5 sachets until she found one that she liked (which happened to be Crystal's emergency HC rations) and then licked most of the gravy off and ate a small amount. She wanted to go out so I went with her, with Crystal bringing up the rear in case she missed out on anything interesting. Poppy seemed exceptionally nervous and was stopping to sniff everything - I wonder if she had an encounter yesterday with a hostile cat or wildlife? She's pretty feisty herself (being a torti) and usually sees off any intruders pronto, but who knows. She had a good check round and then wanted to come back inside, have a cuddle and then make some serious biscuits on her blanket so the dreaded vet visit is postponed at the moment. Keeping a close watch on her though for the rest of the day.

Hi Suki,
I'm sorry Poppydoodle is not eating. I hope she improves soon. I'm partial to torties- I had a beautiful Burmese torte who lived for 21 years. She had a mind of her own too!
Crystal is a very pretty cat.

Hi Bron & Peg, Poppydoodle definately thinks she is top cat in the house, but Crystal disagrees - here is a pic of the 2 of them arguing over who got to the top of the arch first:
