YESTERDAY'S RESULTS;

AMPS 363 +4=218 +6=168
PMPS 150 +2.5=238 +5=192

He was crying for food since 4 or 5 a.m. off and on. If this continues I might have to take him to the vet for blood tests.

Just found out more problems with my mom and she won't be coming home today. Something has come up and not sure what it is. Prayers please greatly appreciated.

I got out my Terumo syringes. They don't have 1/2 unit markings but since I'm giving almost 2 units maybe they will be more consistent.

Re: 3/24 MaxAMPS 329

Paws crossed that Max will slide down from the pink today and shows some nice blues again :-D . Good luck with the different syringes, I've never switched to different ones but I've read the condos when others are trying to figure out the different amounts to change to and it sounds confusing! :o (BD has the monopoly here in Canada so that's all I've used). I hope that your mom can come home soon.

Have a good Monday :smile:

Re: 3/24 MaxAMPS 329

Thanks Rachel. I'm afraid to switch now since I read there could be as much as .5 difference and am worried he could go sky high. When the rest of my life calms down I will try once again to figure this out perhaps with calipers.

Re: 3/24 MaxAMPS 329 +4=275+6=237

I know he probably needs the dosecrease but with things the way they are I hesitate to do it. What about giving 2 units for now instead of the F1.75 or is that not worth doing and should I wait until I can increase by .25. I can't predict that one any more. ESP I definitely don't have but I can wish. Off to walk my sister's dog and then head for the hospital. Another thing I worry about is could he be hyper-t after all? He has been in the gray zone but other than the big appetite and meowing for food in the early hours no symptoms and he is gaining but not losing weight. His thyroid panel was normal when he was diagnosed with diabetes back in November.

Elise, here's the link to Max's 3/23 Condo. Like Rachel, I have the choice of the BD or the BD syringes here. :roll: I use calipers now and have found the BD's to be vary as much as about 1/3 of a unit. I know some people have switched between Monoject and Terumo and found a difference between the two, as they have different widths of barrels. I think Rhiannon (Shadow) is one member who made the switch and noticed a difference. If you want to increase to 2.0U, you should stick to your existing syringes for now so you know how much of an increase you are doing. I agree that waiting until things settle down on the home front for a bigger increase is a good idea.

Sorry things are so up and down with your mom - I hope she can get out of the hospital soon. :YMHUG:

Doing another blood panel 6 months after his last one might be an idea if you are worried about Max.

Re: 3/24 MaxAMPS 329 +4=275+6=237

Thanks Wendy. Is it even worth doing the full two or should I wait until I can do a fat 2.25? I know nobody knows for sure. I decided not to change the dose tonight but still have the same question about tomorrow morning unless he drops again at the suggestion of a dosecrease.
