YAY Mannie! Great AM cycle - love the green! With the PM cycle I fed Mannie a 7% carb, since I was going to be gone with an uncertain return time. It did bump him up alot, but I also think he was headed up anyways. The higher % carbs compounded that.... well.... I hope we can get back to the lower blues and greens this morning. Sorry for the extra carbs Mannie.... cat_pet_icon

Normalcy in MannieLand this morning. He did wake me up, with a few nudges from one wet nose... and soft whiskers.... seems the bean was in oversleep mode. so... off to a slow start this AM, 30 minutes late. bummer! Once I got it together enough to fumble my way upstairs I was greeted by Mannie's "OK, I got you up, now get moving and FEED ME NOW!" dance. That always cracks me up: on the table: circles, back and forth, prancing, repeat , accelerated with each repeat: he was so excited that he dang near fell off the table...  Breffis consumed with enthusiasm, duh! Civvies bowls raided when I turned my back: darn it! 10% carbs. :o oh well.... we all survived breffis. He was happy, the bean was now awake, and the boy moved onto the nanners, where they were shuffled a little, pillow made out of two, mattress out of 4 and he settled in for a nap... Yep, normalcy in MannieLand.

Have a great day everyone! I hopefully will be headed to DT Seattle later today to do my weekly friends visit. YAY! :-D

Re: 3/24 Mannie AMPS 358, +2 335

Awwww, I just love Mannie. I really need to get it together and look at all the carbs in the different foods. I don't know that I have any MC food. Is low carb anything below 5??? Great to see he got down in the greens last night. Can you start coming down today Mannie? I hope you do and I hope you all have a beautiful spring day.

Re: 3/24 Mannie AMPS 358, +2 335

aww sorry for the bounce but what wonderful greens for Mannie yesterday, I'm sure he'll return in no time.

Enjoy your time in Seattle, have a grand day

Re: 3/24 Mannie AMPS 358, +2 335

Re: 3/24 Mannie AMPS 358, +2 335

Morning!!! I bet Mannie will be back down before you know it!!!! Is he cooking up a special cake for Baby today? Hope your kitchen is not covered in flour

How was the "concert" ????

Mannie...we need to have a big party for Baby today!!!!! Let's cook something special.

Re: 3/24 Mannie AMPS 358, +2 335

I love hearing how Mannie wakes you up and gets so excited over his morning routines! You are so talented with the different carb foods and what to feed! Hoping he comes down today. Have a great time with your friends. I am being taken out to lunch today, too!

Hey Mannie, what's up today with Baby's party? We need a special birthday cake!

Re: 3/24 Mannie AMPS 358, +2 335

Hey, Mannie and Tess are keeping pace together today, Nice and slowly down both of you. Keep an eye on her while I'm gone, Mannie.

Cake? Can I do the frosting? I'm really good w/ paw swirls! -- Tess

Re: 3/24 Mannie AMPS 358, +2 335, +4 270

270 @ +4 - YAY!, coming down, and YAY again, we are yellow.... :-D :-D

Hi Maria - thanks for the visit! he's found the yellows, hopefully on his way back to the greens: paws crossed. My understanding of the carbs are as follows: LC 0-9%, MC 10-15%, HC over 15%. I personally view MC as starting with the 8% range - it's just how Mannie reacts to them.. I know that an 7/8% food will bump him up as much as a 10%.

Hi Iorwen - The DT Sea trip will be fun - it's trying to be sunny, so even with 50/50 weather the trip should be fun. It will be good to see friends. me too on the return to the greens. :-D

Morning Devon - I know - I love those morning whiskers, but also know anytime I wake up to them I am late, and have overslept. I am glad that he doesn't take too long to tell me. I think he rad your post - he's taking his time, so... so far... good to go!

Hi Ann - so I noticed - those two seem to be on the same page today. Miss Ann? - I will watch over Tess, make sure she takes her tests, and eats her fuds. You want me to text you her numbers? I'm really good at texting, even if I have no thumbs... ~~ Mannie

Hi Marjorie - ahhhhhh, the "concert". what to say about heavy metal LOUD music... I left with my hearing intact, survived the chest pound from the sound waves coming off those amps, and enjoyed watching the kid play. He plays very well. His involvement with this band is interesting. He really is more of a blues/classical/early rock guy. Avid fan of Clapton, stevie ray, early influence Metallica and their classical roots... but like every struggling musician in seattle, and there are literally thousands, he took the opportunity that was offered, so he can play live, and get his name known. and just happened to be this band. He's hoping it will be the catalyst that he needs. anyways.... well done last night sonny. :-D -- and no flour in the kitchen so far... though I now hear the distinct clattering of pans and utensils.... and lots of kitty talk. hmmmm - looks like Gracie running down the hall.

Morning Ann, and Maggie - oh the foods have taken a while to learn... omg! some nasty mistakes, and finally I know which ones to serve, which one to avoid. yep - looking forward to an outing today. :-D I hope you have a good lunch too!

Tess- SWEET! The frosting is yours - I LOVE paw swirls . heeheehee... See you soon! ~~ Mannie

Maggie - YEP! Cake time! Come on over - well I can get you - we will bake your special cinnamon birthday cake and help Baby celebrate her birthday. Hmmmmm - I wonder if she'd like some grillin' too... ~~ Mannie

Gracie - yes!! we should... maybe some of specialty grillin' stuff? OK< and let's go party! ~~ Mannie

Re: 3/24 Mannie AMPS 358, +2 335, +4 270, +2 275

275 @ +7. hmmmmm.... looks like a nice yellow surf this afternoon. good for - off to DT Seattle! :-D

Hi Roni - gently? Mannie?  but I know what you mean. and many thanks!

Hi Barb - Thanks - I am sure I will. They are friends I used to work with - it's always nice top see them and catch on on the latest gossip.

Re: 3/24 Mannie AMPS 358, +2 335, +4 270, +2 275

Normalcy in MannieLand this morning. He did wake me up, with a few nudges from one wet nose.

What is with the wet nose? Maverick doesn't give wet noses. Instead he touches his cold wet nose to any skin showing on my face. Why??? And why is it always cold and wet?

Mannie is a sneaky kitty today :)

Enjoy your time with friends :-D

Re: 3/24 Mannie AMPS 358, +2 335, +4 270, +2 275

I'm so happy you got to go last night. I remember he loud the music in clubs is...barely but I do!! Hope you have fun today since Mannie is letting you put..hope the kits clean up your kitchen!

Mannie..we also have lots of KTSS to deliver...BINKS, Payne, Milo, and Moses just to name a few...let's go!

Re: 3/24 Mannie AMPS 358, +2 335, +4 270, +2 275

:YMHUG: Hi, Michelle & Mannie.. thank you for Baby's birthday wishes, your friendship means a lot.

Baby - wow - it's your birthday! Ya know, the kitchen krew here in LL makes an awesome birthday cake... I think we should do just that and come and celebrate your birthday... You like cinnamon, right? See you! ~ Mannie
Hey, Mannie.. the BURPday cake was yummy to my tummy, I LOVES cinnamon!! I look forward to dancing by the moonlight tonight too!! No need to bring presents, but I do like treats & toys ;-) See you soon!!

Re: 3/24 Mannie AMPS 358, +4 270, +6 275, +11 354, PMPS 336

354 @ +11, 336 @ PMPS. drat! Back to the pinks.... well, at least the pmps is down from his +11, not much, but down...

And this is so Mannie: when I came home from Seattle, I let him out, it was still sorta nice... well within a few minutes the rains started - thought well best let him in. So... go to the door: no Mannie, not in his usual stay dry spot when it rains, not on the deck. then i see him - out on the lawn, in the rain, sitting, with his face into the rain, taking it all in. what a weirdo... no offense Mannie, but shesshhh!

Hi Karrie - i dunno.... you will make a million if you figure that one out... Mannie's is always cold, usually wet - he likes to nudge. sometimes I too get the wet nose thing on any and all exposed face parts. I dunno what wakes me up first: that nose or the whiskers. sometimes too I get a face wash, dang those tongues are like sand paper....

Hi Marjorie - me too. it was fun - and the music level, well that was ok too. and YAY! he let me go out today... sweet, and ha d a great time. got all the new office gossip and system issues and all... - reaffirmed why i am glad I am no longer employed. -- and the kits cleaned up just fine... though I did find that the freezer had been mysteriously raided - they left a note, something about needing fuds for baby's birthday, and they knew I wouldn't mind. nahhhh,,,, guess i don't: party on kitties !

HI Nicole! I hope you and Baby have a great birthday celebration. It is so great to share that with all of us here. I love it. I some how in the error of my ways neglected to post Mannie's - no clue what I was thinking, or more like it: not thinking... he was 14 in January.

Baby - you are ON! A celebration is in order - dancing my moonlight , and a feast fit for a queen... you like BBQ? I'm thinking grilled chicken, some grilled shrimp, some flank steak or brisket, ribs (!! - we gotta have ribs!) some turkey burgers... YUM - see you soon, we are on our way! ~ ~Mannie

Hey Gracie - YES on the KTSS - lots of our friends need us. ok - I gots all the stuff ready, and will pick you up... also got the BBQ supplies for Baby's moonlight celebration. WOOT! Busy day! ~~ Mannie

Hey Mannie, Sorry to get there a little too late to help with the birthday cake for Baby, but it sure was good eatin'! And now we'll have a little party. Neat! I can do some grillin'.
Rusty

Hi Michelle, Good for you to get through the concert with your hearing intact!! Sounds like your son loves what he's doing. Also happy to hear that you had a nice lunch with your friends today. And Mannie knew you were going out and gave you some safe numbers. Now we wait to see what will happen tonight!!! Hope you get some good sleep so Mannie doesn't have to work so hard to get you up tomorrow morning!

Ella

Re: 3/24 Mannie PMPS 336, +2 315

BINKSTER - DUDE! nice job on the bean man - sweet is right. be careful though - she controls the fuds, ya know? man did you go to the vetty? my bean says you may have to go the vetty.... bummer man. hey- the KTSS is coming to pay you a visit... and bring you some chicken soup... promise me you won't upchuck on your bean OK? See you! ~~ Mannie

Re: 3/24 Mannie PMPS 336, +2 315

Hi Ella - yep, my son does love his music. someday I hope he can focus on what he really likes: blues, and little classical/rock thrown in. The band right now is for exposure, and learning the ropes of shows, touring, recording,. etc. well -we shall see. --- and yes - i do love it when Mannie gives me traveling numebrs - I don't worry so much then. I have instructed him after seeing his PMPS and his +2 that his bean is home for the night, and it is OK to exit the pink floor. good side is that I can go to bed a decent hour and avoid my 3 four legged alarm clocks in the morning.

RUSTY - man it's OK... we gots you picked up in time for the cake and the KTSS duties (we have sick friends, which makes me sad...) and now a party at Baby's: moonlight dancing and grilin' and BBQ'in! SWEET! You gots to sing her a birthday song too! ~~ Mannie

Re: 3/24 Mannie PMPS 336, +2 315

fun to hear about your son's concert adventure! how old is he? i've got my 22 year old college senior home this week for spring break - his passion is spinning fire. odd, i know. They call it Poi - he's got burning things on the end of chains that he holds and he swings them around his head and body. hard to describe - but i stand out in the rain to watch him perform. There's a club at Willamette that performs occasionally, but he's kinda obsessed with it and has done it pretty much every night this week.

anyway, i'll talk to punkin about sharing nanners if Mannie comes to visit. he's not a very good sharer, though! i'll remind him that Mannie is the Nanner King and perhaps that will awe him into good behavior! ;-) :-D

255 @ +4. yay - made yellow! :-D

Hi Julie - he's 23, been playing since he was about 12. it was nice when he was still living at home to be able to listen to him play night after night. I kinda miss that. wow on your son and Poi - seen it on TV. Amazing stuff.

  on the nanners. Mannie doesn't share well either - he hoards the ones we have. maybe the two of them can figure out sharing is good. too funny. :-D

Nice way to come down Mannie. Sure you don't want to REALLY come down so I'll have some company tonight?

How great you got out and had a wonderful visit with your friends. I know about work...each day I think I might start my retirement papers.....

Hey, guys! Sounds like a nice day.... even with the rain! Hope Mannie comes down slowly for you! I'm not going to be on much this weekend, but will keep track of things from my android! :)

Hey, Mannie!! Wanna hang out some dis weekend? Mah uncle Chad an' aunt-to-be Mariah iz in town, so I'z get to visit, but dey gonna all go shoppin an' stuff an' leaves me here alone! How rude!! I'z show dem, tho... I'z just haz good time of mah own!! --Willie
