I am calling the vet today for a refill.
What do you think works best and is the most cost efficient?

I need to ask for one or the other as the last time it was a vial and we are going to wasted some insulin.

Either pens or cartridges are fine. I have only used the pens. There is a coupon for the Solar Star Pens somewhere in LL. I will find it and bump it up.

The pens and cartridges cost the same. (I think you may be referring to vials vs. pens/cartridges.) The pens/cartridges are more cost effective. I like the pens. The plastic case gives them some protection.

I use the cartridges myself without the pens and in the long run the cartridges are cheaper than the vials because you get 5 cartridges at a time as opposed to the vial!

I just had to switch cartridges, but only about 1/3 gone, so $20 tossed out. If it had been a vial it would have been more like 9/10 unused.
