Rocky had his first real blue surf yesterday afternoon after that dosecrease up to 2.0u. Yah! :RAHCAT And then he went to 400 overnight. I wonder if Rocky's liver will like those 7 hours it had in blue numbers yesterday, or if today it will react with continuing BG numbers in the 300s and/or above. :roll:

I mentioned in yesterday's condo that this morning was his last 1/2 pill of Fluconazole to kill the ringworm but that I didn't feel that I wanted him off of it yet. (It's only 50mg/ 1x per day) I decided that I am going to go ahead and get his prescription refilled today after reading that Fluconazole is a relatively safe drug, and after learning that Rocky probably would have had an immediate reax to it if had he been allergic to it.

Unfortunately in the past three months I still have not had time to give Rocky his weekly sulfur-lime dip, 1x a week for 4 weeks, and then once a month. I *think* I will be able to get that accomplished soon though.

One thing is for certain-- his fur looks a whole lot better than it did from when he first came home from the hospital. It's hard for me to believe that none of the vets or vet techs at either animal hospital got ringworm after so many of them picked him up-- his entire body was COVERED in it :!: :shock:

Hi Shelley, right now it looks like maybe Rocky's BG will have another slow slide downward? Crossing fingers that is the case. I better go run my errands right now :!:

It looks like you got your blue slide wish :-D . I hope the ringworm clears up soon, that sounds rough to deal with! Have a good evening, hopefully with more blue! ;-)

Hi Rachael,

Yes, it looks like it is a very slow slide dance on those blue numbers.. It's been Ok though because I've been able to run a few errands, come home and take a test. Then back out to run a few errands, run home and take a test. You know with Rocky's 'normal' skipping right past the blues from yellow straight to green, usually, I am always afraid that the blue surf won't last that long and I'll be out doing something when suddenly his BG takes a dive.

Maybe it was spreading out the meals to give him (4) mini-meals at the beginning of each cycle that helped to manage it a little better? I know that we want to see green numbers in a row but for right now I am very happy to see these blue numbers. :cool:

Now I'll go unload the back of my car which is FULL of cat food and kitty litter, then off to do the feral feeding rounds before getting another test for Rocky.

Giving him the 2.0u shot tonight with a number in the 100s will be a bit scary for me though. nailbite_smile I can't really pull an all nighter. I've got something very important I must do tomorrow and I simply must get some decent sleep.

Way to go Tina and Rocky with the blue surfs. Nice. Very nice. :-D

Hope Rocky clears the bounce quickly.

Yes, that's pretty high! That BG number is the second test, immediately taken after the first one at +2.

As for me NOT pulling an all nighter, I am not getting my wish. I will need to be up all night and into the morning to complete a project because someone I counted on to help me with it backed out.

I might give Rocky one more poke tonight and then I'll let those little ears of his have a rest from the lance.

He deserves it. He is such a good boy. cat_pet_icon
