Good Morning LL! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (YUM! I Love coffee!), and Happy Sunday!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, KBP!, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! Coffee is on, Lola and Bug , founders of Paw Prints Pizza, are ready to go! Want pizza? it is MEGA GOOD! They are busy getting ready for.... uh.... I dunno! but there sure is a flurry of activity in the kitchen. so. well. anyways. ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and triple shot espresso, beans from the heart of central Ethiopia. For my mocha fans: Venti Quad orange and vanilla mocha, laced with orange swirls, topped with chocolate whip, garnished with orange zest, slivered vanilla beans and chocolate swirls....... and orange drizzle! SWEET!, and perfect for a winter day. OH! No worries, a dollop of orange and vanilla and chocolate and caramel swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, and a chocolate caramel drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good!

I hope everyone had a great Caturday. Mine was good, kinda mellow, but kinda busy too, Well, the morning was. I did get the shopping done, and the laundry, and paid the bills. wooHOO! Lola and Bug had a vetty appt early in the morning. They passed! I really thought they'd do well, we only went as they were due for their annual visit , and vaccines. SO off we went. Elsa iasn't due ntil august so she will go then. The rest of the day was mellow, with an afternoon hike. Here's what I wrote about the day in last night's post: "Hi everyone! I hope your afternoon has been a good one. weather as ok here. maybe 52, overcast skies, no sun, but at least it didn't rain. :-D :-D :-D it was an ok Saturday here. I managed to get the shopping done before the vet. Vet went OK, they are fine, expected as much, Bug was so scared up there he peed all over himself. poor guy. i need to get his teeth cleaned, so we will do that in a few weeks. It was nice to hear too that his murmur does not seem to have progressed. Lola, the crazy one as fine too. SHeshhh - she was all over that vet exam room: into the cupboards, climbed anything she could find to climb, curled up in a shelf of a wall bookcase, tossed a few papers. sat on their computer. she had a grand time. I did what i had to control her, but wow: she was wired. I finally just let her roam and explore. you gotta love it.I didn't do much with the rest of the day I did make it out, and went to the woods and the shore at Meadowdale: my outdoor time for today. It was a nice "hike". Tide was way out so that was kinda cool. Back home and done by 4PM. I maybe did 5.5 miles, felt like I had done 20. crazy, I guess I was more worn out form the boys than I thought.  "

Normalcy in MusketeerVille!   The kitties were GOOD kitties yesterday, even Lola. Well, sorta on Lola.... Lola will always be Lola. She was one wound up crazy cat yesterday. The runs are always a constant thing here, but wow on yesterday. Even after the vetty visit and getting her vaccines. One would think they'd make her sleepy. Not Lola. OMG on the visit. Bug was one mellow, but scared little dude. He was trembling while there so we cuddled alot and told him he was OK. He will need a dental so that has been set for a couple weeks out. This will be hard, if only because he is so afraid while there. I still think he remembers his shelter days, and fears he is going back. I will make a point of talking to him daily about it all before he has to go. The vet also listened to his heart, to to reaffirm what the cardio folks reported when he has his echo plus done a few months ago All continues to be well. It is something that we will have to monitor for him going forward, at least with an annual recheck at the cardio place. Lola did well, no issues with her, all is well, and 100% healthy. :-D but.... Lola will always be Lola, even when she is at the vetty.... you gotta love this: she was into every nook and cranny, all of them. She was into and on their computer, tried to stand on the edge of the screen. And then she started pounding on the doors. She climbed up into a cubby type shelf unit they have, knocked out all the papers there, and she chewed up one of their business cards that she took from that shelf HAHAHAHAHA! OMG. I thought it was best to just let her explore rather than get he all riled up with trying to subdue that inborn mischievousness. So Lola got to be Lola at the vetty too. The vet loved her too - what personality she says! I LOVE THIS CAT! so..... yes!: Normalcy in MusketeerVille!

Have a great day everyone! I'm not too sure what will be here today. An out and about for sure, but I think it will be local... to the shore if it isn't too cold, or wet, out there. :-D

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN cat_pet_icon

 on Lola at the vet. She definitely wasn't scared. Poor Bug being so scared. I wish we could just tell them it will be okay and they'd not be scared. I'm glad you got out for a walk yesterday.

Re: 3/23 LOOSE LIPS: trails & vetty visits... HAPPY SUNDAY L

Good morning, Michelle,

We neard about bad mudslides in your area and hope that the Snoquamish is OK. Did the mud mess up the places where you hike?
Poor Bug at his vetty visit! It's great that his murmur is ok, and maybe now he will remember that going to the vettybean doesn't mean that he is returning to the shelter. Too bad he needs a dental right away, though. Lola really put on a show at the vettybean's

Have a good walk/hike today in good weather.

Elsa, more ~O) , please! It is so good.

Ella & Rusty

Re: 3/23 LOOSE LIPS: trails & vetty visits... HAPPY SUNDAY L

Well, it's good to know that there is one kitty around who is not afraid of anything, including the vet  . Oh Lola. I'm sorry that Bug was so scared...Chyna pees everytime we go too :? . I'm glad all is well with his murmur. At least they had each other...do they go in the same carrier? That would be quite a job to take two of them, I get stressed with just one. It would be much easier on the bean (although maybe not on the vet!) if the kitties all acted like Lola ;-)

I hope the weather improves and you get outside today, have a good one! :-D

Re: 3/23 LOOSE LIPS: trails & vetty visits... HAPPY SUNDAY L

I tried 2 at once at the vet! I guess it's easier when they like each other! At least Bug stayed on the scale, mine will never sit still! I think pet scales need a little cubby over them so the cats can think they are hiding! Yup! Loa is always Lola!   I'm glad that they both checked out just fine, but sorry Bug need to have a dental.

I hope you can have a fun day out!

Re: 3/23 LOOSE LIPS: trails & vetty visits... HAPPY SUNDAY L

Morning Everyone. I hope your Sunday is off to a good start. We have done well here. I decided early on today to try and catch the sunrise this morning down at the shore, so out the door at 6AM. WOOT! It was a nice one, though not as colorful as some have been. The cloud cover kept shifting, some blocking the sun. I still had a nice peaceful morning walk at the shoreline, and through the woods on the way home. There are signs of spring everywhere, flowers are budding, trees leafing out. I've found patches of skunk cabbage and trillium. We even have the flower for our first berries: Salmonberries. What a nice start to the day. :-D

Morning Carla ~O) ~O) ~O) One has to love Lola. Silly cat! She liked the vetty. Go figure! I so know on the scared ones. I should have talked to him more, Poor guy. Well we gave lots of hugs when he got home, and all was well.

Morning Ella ~O) ~O) ~O) Yes on that mudslide. This is bad one, for the loss of life and homes, but also for the potential for flash floods and the state of the river and the bridges. And yes - it is clsoe to places I hike. One is a few miles from there, the rest about 10 or so. The location/origin of the side is close to a hike spot I did a few months ago. scary! I was glad all is well with Bug, felt bad for his being so scared, and the needed dental. His teeth aren't that bad, but thought it better to take care of it before they are. I too hope that he will know that going to the vetty isn't the shelter. paws crossed! oh yes on Lola, never ever a dull moment wherever she is!
Auntie Ella! ON MY WAY! Bringing lots!!! ~ Elsa, KBP

Morning Rachel ~O) ~O) ~O) isn't i though? She is afraid on NOTHING!   Poor Bug - scared enough he peed on everything. Mannie would do that too, not becasue he was scared but because he was protesting his presence there. He always nailed the vet techs.  And no - they both have separate carriers. Although they would travel well together, as they do like each other. YAY! THX on today - we have sun, I was out early, and contemplating going again! :-D I hate wasting sunshine!

Morning Ann ~O) ~O) ~O) Oddly enough I remember you writing about taking two of them to the vet at the same time: Emma and Tess. Bug was good, just sat there, scared. poor guy. well Lola did not sit still, she was a handful for the exam part, but we got through it. She drew the line at the temp taking. :o  The required a burrito wrap.  Awesome idea on the pet scales. They should! then they might sit there. :? maybe. Me too on the dental. His teeth aren't too bad, but I think Id rather take care of it while the procedure will be an easy one for him, rather than wait until we have issues. So off he goes in two weeks.

Re: 3/23 LOOSE LIPS: trails & vetty visits... HAPPY SUNDAY L

Weather here has been great. :-D We made 60 today, under blue skies. Morning was a little cloudy but that went away soon enough. It has been ever so nice here. It has been a been a great day here. I did make it out, early. Went to the shore for the sunrise, it was nice though. Felt darn cold down there too! Cold hands! Came home and worked in the yard some, got alot just cleaned up. Looks alot better, but still alot to do. With it being near 60 and sunny I went out after that for short walk. That was awesome, felt great to have sun on the face, I had to laugh when I went by the park/woods/ shore trail, as the parking lot was full as were all the side streets. ALOT of folks on that trail. Sure glad I went early. For those of you that asked about or commented on the horrific mudslide here, things are still a mess on SR530. The number of missing is going up, slowly, number of dead at 4. One of the news people reported the the river has started channeling, so they hope that will relieve some of the build up behind the mud damn in the river. Read too that the mud is still moving, but some areas have started to dry, sort of. I guess they are still considering this a search and rescue effort, haven't given up on those missing folks yet. Seems that the responders are going in with ropes tied around them so they too don't go under or be swept away. Read too that they are trying to open Mtn Loop Hwy (the scenic mountain road that connects to SR 530, and the majority of the hiking trails) so that people have away to get out. That apparently is still snow covered. wow on it all. unreal huh.

Take acre everyone, and have a great evening!
