I had to give KT his shot about 45 minutes early today but with a +2 of 303, that isn't going to make much difference. We'll start walking forward tonight to get back to where we need to be.

Prayer request: Harley - one of our big droolers, 8 years old....I found several small knots on his neck a couple of weeks ago but notice they're growing yesterday. I took him to vet this morning - sure didn't get a diagnosis that we liked...he has lymphoma. DH is broken hearted altho' I'm trying to explain to him that this isn't something that will cause us to lose him right now. There's no way we can do the treatment but even if we could, I'm not sure it would be the right thing to do for him. All his lymph nodes are swollen but we're starting prednizone to try to shrink them some. I was concerned that the ones around his neck would cut off his breathing but learned that they will grow outward rather than inward there. Treatment wouldn't buy him more than a year or maybe two altho' he'd go thru 4 months of hell. I DIDN'T WANT TO LEARN THIS TOO! I haven't even learned all about CHF and now I have to learn this?

Can I just go crawl in a hole somewhere and not come out for a year or two? Right now that's all I want to do...we just lost Samson Monday.

This is my first time stopping in any threads but I would like to say I'm sorry for what's happening to Harley and I'll definitely put you and Harley in my prayers. He is so cute!

Hi guys .. I'm sorry about Harley .. sometimes we have to make decisions like the ones you are faced with .. give him just a few months longer to be with you guys, but put him through something you know he wouldn't want? Or to give him whatever time he has left with you be the best time ever .. I can only imagine your heartache right now ...
 
So sorry about Harley. Would you like to try alternative med?
We are treating cancer patient (human & pets) with a simple diet on mix of flexseed oil & cottage cheese diet here. If you want the detail, I'll try to find the dose quantity to use.
I think there is no harm if not good with flexseed oil & cottage cheese, right?

Dont give up hope!

Best of luck with the cute little drooler. I have a good friend whose dog has lymphoma, and she is also using flaxseed oil, although with yoghurt. Also look at his diet, cancer cells love carbs too so grain free is better.

We feel your pain and we hope that you will have much good quality time with Harley. I know that you will think positively and surround him with your love. We will think positively, too, and keep him in our prayers. Miracles happen and it seems that you are overdue for one.

Sending vines for Harley (such an adorable drooler) and for you and DH too. You have had such a lot to deal with lately. I don't think I would go for the vet treatment on this one either but I'm sure you're going to try the diet thing and I hope that brings you a miracle - you guys sure are due for one.
