Good morning, LL.

Catherine, Dwight, Liz, Julie, Tricia, and Carla ~ Thank you all for visiting us yesterday. You will all be happy to know that Jersey's plan for my demise did not work out. I am smarter than the average bear and was able to foil her attempts yesterday.
I was also finally able to get a ketone test (negative). Evil kitty made me wait for 20 minutes next to the litter box, but I got it!
Yesterday's Numbers:
AMPS - 372, .75 units
+5 - 354
PMPS - 421, .75 units
+4 - 141
+5.5 - 139
+6.5 - 136
The good news is that the bounce from Friday night only lasted one cycle, and we ended up throwing another PJ party last night. I'm afraid that I actually prevented a drop into the greens. She was just so hungry last night that I couldn't deny her demand for food. :YMSIGH:
Today:
AMPS - 365, .75 units
+4 - 338
Here's a question: Jersey has been seeing better numbers (almost) each night since the dosecrease and has only been bouncing during the day. Her previous bounces were lasting several cycles. Is this the result of her liver adjusting to the lower numbers and not panicking as much, or is it because we now have enough insulin in her to break the bounces more quickly? I don't know if that makes sense - or if it ultimately makes any difference. It's just a question I've had after looking at her SS.
My deepest condolences go out to Dyana on the loss of her sister.
