Recap of yesterday's BGs -
AMPS - 99, gave 0.10 units Lantus (1st cycle)
+4 - 34
+4.5 - 40
+5.5 - 53
+8 - 85
PMPS - 186, gave 0.10 units Lantus (2nd cycle)
+3 - 134
+6 - 90
This morning's AMPS was 161 and I gave Cini his 3rd cycle of 0.10 units of Lantus. His +3 just now was 98.
My Vet went out of town a few weeks ago because her father was very ill and she needed to be with him. She asked me to call her yesterday to check in with her because she thought she would be back by then. I called the Vet's office and they told me she was delayed in getting back to work and they don't know when to expect her back, it may be another 2 weeks or it could be two months. Before my Vet left, she did tell me her father was very elderly and had been very ill for a long time. I am assuming her father took a turn for the worse or even may have passed away.
I spoke to my Vet's technician assistant and I didn't ask any questions because I didn't want to pry. I gave her my update on Cini and she was going to speak to one of the other Vet's. I told her he was doing great and that was pretty much all I had to report but I am running low on the Terbutaline syrup for Cini's asthma and I didn't know if I should get some more or discontinue it. She said she would speak with another Vet and get back to me today.
Could use some good thoughts and prayers sent my Vet's way to ease her through whatever her situation is with her father and also good thoughts and prayers for Cini to stay healthy till she gets back so that I don't have to start "the whole story" again with a new Vet.
