Ya, me, too! I did it all (registered) on my phone and showed them the card on my phone. To register, I put my first name as Julie/Taffy and then my last name and I used MY birthday. The first time the pharmacist input the offer info, it did not go thru, but when she tried it just as I had registered (my bday) it did work! Boy, am I happy to have an extra $70 bucks in my budget!

The offer is good for 12 months, so i hope to get a $10 refill each month, even if I do not need yet. This my my last pen on my Rx and the doc who Dx'd Taffy has left the clinic where he worked and has gone idk where, so now I have take Taffy to a new vet sometime this month to get a new lantus Rx (there goes my $70 bucks!!!)

I did not start the new pen tonight, however, as I still have a dose or maybe two in the previous pen.
 
Wow!!! What an awesome deal! Julie, can you PM me the exact pharmacy you went to (since we are locals) in case I have any issues at my pharmacy when I try this for my next pen? Appreciate again you helping me find a pharmacy that will sell individual pens because it would be no fun shelling out over $400 for a box!!

I signed up for the discount card using my name and Taffy's name as my first name = "Julie/Taffy". The remaining questions did ask if you are getting the Rx for a child, I think, and I said "yes". (He IS my baby!) So...I don't think that the discount card is necessarily good for a pet, but the pharmacist knew that it was for my cat. So, I did not feel dishonest. And, yes, my pharmacy does sell the pens individually. I have been able to purchase individual pens at both CVS and Rite Aid.

I did exactly what Julie did (except I just used used Uncle's name) and my pharmacist knows it's for my cat as well :cat:

Maybe. That will be my first attempt before seeing a new vet. But I am thinking that even another vet at that same clinic would want to examine/re-check Taffy b4 writing a new Rx, in which case I will just go to the close by vet. I went to the Dxing vet bcuz I thought he was holistic and would be good choice but he dropped the ball, imo.
 
@Taffysmama Ok Julie, I registered for the $10 lantus pen and got my lantus rx card. I entered my info exactly as you described above. Going to head out to the Rite aid pharmacy by my house (where they sell the pens individually) and see if I can get Ozzy's refill for $10. WISH ME LUCK!
 
They were out of lantus yesterday so had to wait for a refill (good thing I didn't wait to the last drop in the current pen).

Just got back from the pharmacy now and....IT WORKED!!

The pharmacist also knows its for my cat so I don't feel I was being dishonest either.

The pharmacist was actually the one who told me about the lantus card last time but my reception on my phone was shotty in the store when trying to register and then their system was down when trying to process it. I just figured it was too good to be true. She actually tried to process a refund for the difference on my last pen ($70!!!) but I waited too long! D'oh!!!

I can get one pen a month so will be going monthly to stock up to the same pharmacist in case this dream come true ends!

Here is proof....lantus pen for $10 bucks!!
