morning ~O)
I spoke to the vet this morning and they are super busy today but they gave me one of the vet's to speak with so we could discuss options and decide whether
or not to squeeze her in.
We decided together to wait and add to tuesday's line up.

They will give her the pre-sedation shot when we get there and then draw blood before the anesthesia.
they will do a quick in house analysis.
Then when they are ready to administer the anesthesia.... they will get x-rays of her front arms, shoulders, and chest area as well as teeth.
This will take a lot of anesthesia time...
and they will get the teeth cleaned but they don't plan on any extractions unless they is a very quick one.

If there are extractions, she will have to come back another time.

looking for arthritis in the xrays and any possible masses in the chest area.
Her infiltrative lipoma was removed in sept 2010.

Meanwhile I am doing my best that she will not jump down from anything higher than the sofa where she slept last night. I tried to sleep with her for a while
but there wasn't enough room so I kissed her goodnite and went off to bed. My DH put her in bed this morning when he fed her and she stayed with me
while I slept this morning.

If her elbows were possibily arthritis, it makes sense that her front shoulders might be too and hopefully x-rays will confirm.

And at least we started in green today ... for a change....

I am hopeful that the new lantus pen in the fridge was just wasted money....

Beeeaaauuutiful lil green AMBG! Yay! Nice that you got to sleep in with her this morning cat_pet_icon Feels like Tuesday is never gonna get here! Let's hope the greenies continue through the weekend.

Re: 3/22 Shadow AMBG 90

I'm glad that you at least got to talk to the vet and get a plan in place. I know the waiting sucks:( Nice green though, I hope you have a good weekend with greens all around and that Shadow feels good as well :-D

Re: 3/22 Shadow AMBG 90

Rhiannon. I know how much this waiting hurts you, and knowing something just isn't right with Shadow.
It's hard to keep her from jumping....I have to do that with Checks, 'cause of his back.
I'm sending tons of "don't be anything serious" vines.
Vines for a good dental and no extraction required.
Vines for wasted insulin too.

Very nice to see that green smiley for Miss Shadow  .

Re: 3/22 Shadow AMBG 90

Sounds like you have a plan and that's good. Sending you lots of vines for good vetty visit and for being calm while you wait. And hopefully that the vial was a waste! Hopefully nice greens all weekend long.

Thanks for the limbo pic and the laugh last night. You and Wendy...you rotten beans!

Re: 3/22 Shadow AMBG 90

I'm hoping the vial is a waste too...

Wish everyone weren't so far away so I could give it away....
don't feel good about mailing it.... jiggle, jiggle , drop all the way.... might as well be a football.

Re: 3/22 Shadow AMBG 90

Hi Rhiannon. So nice to see Shadow's condo again. Poor guy sounds like he'll have a busy day at the vet. We'll keep our fingers crossed that he doesn't need any extractions. If the x-rays do show arthritis at least you'll know and will be able to treat it for him.

We'll keep you and Shadow in our Prayers, Rhiannon. Have a great day.

Re: 3/22 Shadow AMBG 90

Hi Rhiannon,

 What a lovely start to the day for Mr Shadow.

Thanks for the condo visit (the day before yesterday). I've always called her a naughty tortie although it's not so much that she does naughty things, she just knows what she wants and is very difficult when she doesn't get her way!

I hope you've wasted money on that lantus pen too. :-D

Grace

Hi Rhiannon, Nice greens for Shadow

Paws crossed that the lantus pen was a waste of money, and that she continues with these nice greens. It certainly doesn't look like she's diabetic, not to me anyway, and what you're seeing is symptomatic of some other underlying issue. It's interesting to note how she's hovered in the greens after you've kept her from putting any stress on her joints. I hope you guys have a great night. We're thinking of you guys and continuing to send good vines for good results at the vetty.
