Pollywood has settled down today. All of us.

The Doodlebug had a great night sleeping on the bed, crunched up against me 'cuz Boomer was curled up zonked beyond belief in Polly's usual spot by the pillow.

I think I was tired. Woke this morning clutching my phone. Probably deedle-deedle-deedled at me around 2:30 a.m., but I managed to grab it and kill it in my sleep. We all just slept in 'til near t/f/s at 5:15 a.m.

Lots of enclosure time this morning for both the blue-eyed girl and the blue-eyed boy, Boomer. Good sun, nice temperature, lots of elevated shelving, a cat tree, and a couple of big pillow-type dog beds. Plus the dog doesn't fit through the cat flap. Perfect place for kitties.

I'd be more than pleased if Yowly-Powly surfed in the low blues today, tonight. Soooo tired. And who can nap with a NASCAR race and my beloved Badgers basketball on TV this afternoon/evening.

Boomer is much, much more calmed down. Lots of sleeping! Good. A little drugged out, I think, but that sure beats pain. He's eating well. Jumping on the couch to curl up next to me, and sleeping soundly through the night.

For excitement, the dog, a black lab mix (aka bird dog) caught an errant rooster on our walk last night. Came running to me with this "thing" in his mouth. Happy as could be 'til I realized what he had. Yes, he dropped it at my second and rather frantic, "LEAVE IT" command. Friends nearby came over, tended to the shaken bird who was taken to the BF clinic this morning, and I hauled my very confuzzled dog off to the car and home.

We speculate someone dumped the rooster up near the ponds where we walk. Willy just did what his instints (and perhaps training) programmed him to do. Thank goodness he has a soft mouth.

Need to find a new walking trail. Dog will always race right to the spot where he caught the rooster looking for more. I'd rather walk than watch the dog sniff sage for an hour!

Vines and wishes.

Glad Boomer has settled down and Polly too. on the rooster but lucky he brought it to you. My DB and SIL live near good hiking. I'm in the flats. Have a great day!

Hi Marilyn,
Nice slide to low blue, Polly.
I got mixed feelings when Ginger caught a bird, mostly "NO!", but a little bit proud.
She's caught a bird twice in her life, not bad for an indoor cat with no balcony, no access to outside.

Nice blues for Polly today. I'm glad Boomer has settled down. Wow on the rooster. I bet the dog was surprised at his catch. I'm glad he didn't hurt it.

I see a slow drift down today. :cool:Nice numbers today Polly, but let's not do anything crazy tonight. Sounds like perfect cat weather there today.

Yikes on the rooster! Glad he was OK. The shelter I worked at once got a rabbit in (unharmed) that was retrieved by a bird dog.

Okay Polly, that's low enough(you didn't listen to Auntie Wendy!!) --time to surf nicely now!!! :D:D

Sending continued healing vines for our boy Boomer- scritches too! :bighug:Glad to hear he feels better!

Ack on the poor rooster!:eek:

look at miss polly go! 40?! she must be competing for attention since Boomer got so much with the whole Rooster adventure.

Hoping you get some sleep tonight. Looking good Polly, but a little higher please!

I'm beginning to think that China and Polly have teamed up against the boys, Max, Cinco and Skooter for who goes the deepest in the lagoon

It's actually kind of nice for China to have a "girly buddy" to hang with once in awhile!

I'm sorry Polly wasn't listening when you mentioned you were tired, but still nice work from you little blue eyed girl :D

Glad to hear Boomer is eating well and has settled down. Sleeping is good for healing so you keep that up Boomer.

I guess the drooler was doing his bit to take your mind off things - but perhaps taking it a bit to excess. Hope the rooster finds a good home.
