This morning I decided to bake some muffins before church. Of course Mikey and DK came into the kitchen to supervise. When I opened the cupboard to get the muffin tin out, there was a mouse in there. The three of us saw it all at once. I jumped and gave a little scream, but the two cats turned tailed and ran! Wimps!

Yes, I did use the pan. And I made Don go find where the mouse got in. And if it's not sealed off by tomorrow, I'm moving in with my brother until it is!!!! I don't mind spiders, but mice that aren't pets gross me out. Too many germs.

Not sure how much of this is a bounce, @Wendy&Neko . Mikey smells like insulin tonight, so we suspect a fur shot. We're bummed, but these things happen. No point in kicking ourselves when we're doing all we can.

Oh well, done many fur shots myself. That's why this smiley is part of the collection. :banghead: On the up side, you get good sleep.

@Marycatmom just take a look at Skooter's 2014 and 2015, they are filled with possible fur shots lololol

Slide on down there Mikey, lets shot for some pretty yellow!!!

I had to laugh at the mouse encounter. I would have screamed too. :joyful: We have mice in the compost pile and I put our civie Tillie in there with the mice and all she did was pat one on the head and jump out. :joyful:

Drat on the fur shot. Back on track in the morning, right, Mikey?

there is a rat that comes up on our deck every night. S/he cleans up the birdseed debris. Creeps me out but apparently we have rats in this area of the city. It entertains the cats greatly - they race back and forth across the living room window, keeping pace with the rat. I call it Ratatouille. perhaps you could name your mousie. :p

My mummy lets the mice come and eat right out of my food bowl and I'm not allowed to do anyfing about it. When she's not home though...

At one point we had birds living in our mail box, and one time when I went to get the mail one of the birds flew into the house. In a split second my cat Max caught the bird, he had been standing at my feet in the doorway when I leaned out to get the mail. I then had to take him out on the porch and try to get him to let the bird go. The bird still died, but I didn't want him running around with it in his mouth or for the bird to be dead in my house.
