yesterday's LL

just figured i'd pop a new LL up again today - countdown to OTJ continuing for Elie and Mikey!

it's beautiful around our place - 8-10" of snow, which stops western oregon cold. we're not equipped for the snow that others deal with regularly. 1 tree came down in our neighborhood yesterday, 2 more went during the night. we heard the crashes around midnight. woke up to the sound of intermittent chainsaw buzzing - WAHOO! the 2 that went down in the night were both across the street, although it's a dead-end so not exactly a major crisis. all of the trees were oaks.

here's the place to put your news & stories! let's keep the condos for cat health advice!

Wow, 8-10in of snow is crazy! We're up in the 80's and breaking records left and right .. this weekend we're supposed to get down into the 60's, which is still 15 degree's above normal .. but definitely more spring like temps ..

It sure does seem like lots of new kitties this week in LL .. I leave the board for a few days and come back to names I don't recognize at all .. Hoping they are starting to feel at home here and learning how to take care of their little furbabies ..

Good luck on the OTJ countdowns and thoughts and prayers go out to all in need of them ...

Devon brought up something I'd like to add a note to...

Titus Family (Penny & Titus) are still finding their FD legs, and could sure use a little encouragement
if folks have the time to swing by their condos. :-D
Joyce & Tuscany (GA) got them started (you ROCK, Joyce!), but Penny is still struggling to get some family assistance on testing,
and I think she might feel a little better if she saw some friendly LL folks.
I know it's hard to get to so many condos...but I remember when folks would drop a note here in Loose Lips
mentioning members that could use some support, and I loved that idea! :-D

And if I don't get going here, I'll be late for interviews...
ah...how the day to day interferes with the important things. :YMSIGH:

I contacted Purina, and spoke to "Jason" this morning via phone to ask about their carb content for 2 of their Classic products... Beef & Liver Feast and Turkey & Giblet Feast. They are as follows:

Beef & Liver Feast = 1.10% per 3 oz. can
Turkey & Giblet Feast = 0.90% per 3 oz. can

He will be sending me via snail mail the carb content of these 2, and I'm not sure if other Feasts will be included with them. I'm hoping that they will. When I get it (about 10-14 business days, of course), I'll pass on the information to you folks, too.

i'm thinking purina makes both the friskies and the fancy feast lines - is that right? or am i off-base - what purina are you talking about?

thanks for the heads-up, celi!
