I could only hang with Jersey for a little over half of the PJ party last night; I ended up falling asleep on the couch. I hope I didn't miss anything, although I apparently did miss the coyote in the yard. DH woke up to our dogs 'raisin' Cain' at 4:00 a.m. this morning (another DH expression). He said a coyote was standing right in the middle of the front yard. An outdoor critter check has revealed that all dogs, cats, goats, and chickens are intact this morning. It makes me so nervous; we've heard coyotes around here a lot lately, but this is the first time we've actually seen one in the yard. nailbite_smile We lost a lot of pets to coyotes when I was a kid. I would be devastated if it happened again!

I'm really hoping Mr. Liver decides not to go on his 3-day sugar fest this go-round, but the AMPS doesn't look promising this morning. DH took over testing and shot duty this AM. I was drooling on my pillow at the time.

Jersey girl is reading her condo as I type it this morning. Cats definitely make better doors than they do windows. Jersey, could you move to the left just a tad so I can see the screen? Seriously, cat, you won't miss anything by moving over an inch. I'm confident this is just another small component of her master plan for my demise. Jersey's to do list for the day:

1. Block computer screen in an attempt to make the human shift to see the screen. Goal - To cause the human to spill hot coffee on herself while shifting, resulting in third-degree burns
2. Play the inside-outside game where I will refuse to make up my mind about whether I want to go outside or stay inside. Goal - To increase the probability that the human will smash herself in the sliding glass door
3. Dig around in the litter box, thus tricking the human into thinking she can get a ketone test. When she arrives, I will present her with a huge poo. Goal - To incapacitate the human with noxious poo fumes
4.Attack all parts of the human that can be reached during the morning bg check. Goal: To sever a major vein, thus causing severe blood loss
5. Plot new ways to hasten human's demise
6. Take a nap

May you all have a beautiful day with kitties who are less devious than my own! :-D

What's up with visiting all of the colors last night? A 250 swing! I wonder what today will bring you?

Those coyotes are very opportunistic feeders and always know where the easy food source is. I get them on my trail cam all of the time. They are one of those animals you rarely see but are always around...

Ms. Liver needs a stern talking to. We've tried cajoling and calm reassuring but have had little success. Yikes on the coyote! Are you sure Jersey is plotting your demise? Who would feed her?   Happy Caturday!

that was so funny i had to read it out loud to my husband. i hope Jersey fails and you are still alive tonight to tell about it! ;-)

I agree with Liz: I don't think Jersey would want to plot your demise, because she needs her staff to keep her fed and healthy. Unless of course she wants your DH all to herself?

Scary about the coyote. My aunt and uncle lost three kitties to coyotes before deciding not to have any more pets. When they finally gave in, they had moved to Wisconsin from AZ and it was an indoor cat (who outlived them!). I would never let my kitties outside - too many scary things out there.

Doesn't look like Jersey went too low last night. PJ parties can be hard on the beans. Glad your DH was able to pick up the slack this am. I hope Jersey came down off that bounce for you this afternoon.
