grr_red Damn. I'm thinking Cobb got almost none of his shot last night when looking at this morning's number. I've given some R in hopes of bringing it down, and I suspect another dose after +6 this afternoon. Damn. I'm so pissed at myself! Our SS looked so pretty until today.

Cobb, at the moment, is handling the high number well. He's eating breakfast as I write. Erg!!!! :-x grr_red grr_red

Ok...R question. Would you wait until after +6 to give another dose of R? I was thinking about giving it at +4 since he's so high, but I know that would make the Lantus nadir at the same time the R is really kicking in. Does it matter since he's this high? Definitely won't give any before +6 until I hear from any of you!

I was going to say if he's still 598 at +4 or there abouts, I think you can give some R since he hasn't moved with the Lantus.

Since he's coming down now at a pretty good clip, I think I would wait. It's up to you, but if he continues down pretty fast like he is now with the Lantus, the R will just make him come down even faster and cause a bounce that you don't want.

Those are my thoughts.

Holding off on additional R. Looks like he's clearing pretty quickly. I gave him 1/4can of LC at +5.25.

glad Dyana got to you! I would probably use more R at some point in this cycle to try to get him back under 250, if possible. but it depends on your schedule. He has been looking pretty good, suzanne!

he'll recover from the fur shot. i hope you at least got some good sleep while he was high! :-D

Thanks Julie. I gave another .1 of R now at +7. The rise is probably a food spike, but still too high. Let's hope he comes down for his PMPS tonight.

Cobb will get back on track, but I'm sure you're disappointed since his numbers had been looking better

Glad you're comfortable using the R too! Looks like it's a great tool for your toolchest of things to use with Cobb!

Come on back down Cobb....there's no reason you need to be worrying your mamabean like that!

Bummer on the fur shot. They're just a fact of life for us fallible beans. Cobb will get over it, probably much faster than you will! Hang in there, Suzanne!

I think you used the R at the right time, as he was going back up, and hopefully this flat number now means you are stopping a bounce in it's tracks.

Thanks! I knew we were in trouble this morning when Matt did Cobb's test and I heard, oh your mom is not going to be happy.

Given where we started the day, I will take my 303 tonight. :lol:

Geez...what a stressful day for you. Those numbers just really make our stomachs fall, don't they? Looks like you did a fantastic job of getting Cobb's numbers into a much more acceptable range!! Yay!!
