Oooh! I wonder if she dropped below 50!

I would attempt a reduction and see if she holds it. She has spent a week on this dose in largely normal numbers. I think some of the higher blues you are seeing is her bouncing from the 50s.

I wonder, too. About 40 minutes before pmps she was pestering for food. I wondered why she was extra pesty so I tried to move her back a few minutes. She seems all over the place lately. When is her nadir? And can it be in different places night and day?

Here's another question.....what happens if she eats during her fast? Like eating someone's puke? It happened once but I caught her right as I was about to get her pmps. So I checked her right away and gave her the shot. It was LC vomit so it became her supper. Nasty. But what if it's during her fast? Would I stall? Start the 2 hours over?

Nadirs can and do move around. They tend to be later in cycles in which they clear a bounce.

The 2 hour rule is largely for newbies who don't have experience with shooting and dealing with lower numbers. That having been said, you don't want to shoot the low 50s if they are food influenced. Food takes 20 mins to affect numbers, so if you can get a test as soon as you catch her, you would get a number that is not influenced by food.

So, if she's in the 70s or something it would be okay to shoot? We've been lucky so far, but last night Mouse threw up boiled chicken. I didn't find it until after I'd taken care of Kahlua. She hadn't eaten it luckily. She hates boiled chicken, the weirdo.
