WCR: All Ps in place. Appy is only so-so this morning. I just filled her prescription for cypro, but didn't want to give any this morning since I'm not here to see her reaction to a 'new' med. I'll probably try it tomorrow. No snuggles last night or this morning. She's very grumpy this morning.

Today is the last day of classes before spring break...wasted day, if you ask me. I doubt I'll have half of my students today. The neighboring county has it right...they have today off as they start spring break. Sending healthy vines to all our sugar kitties and their hoomins! Blessings!

Morning Deborah, and Shasta

I hope that Shasta gives you a lower surf today, and I don't blame you on waiting to start a new med if you're not going to be around to watch her in case she has a mild reaction to it. Better to err on the side of caution. I hope that it helps her, though.

With regards to the poo tally, I'm guessing that her body is using the food up before any excess is being processed through "disposal". Blackie does the same thing as I may see a lot of poo one day, and then not so much the next. She does poo pretty much almost every day, though.

I hope that you have a somewhat productive day, though. Hang in there... The week's almost over. :-D

I'm sorry Shasta isn't happy, I hope she perks up for you tonight :-D . I would wait to start a new med too. I agree on the students and wasted day...the last day of class before anything seems to be useless, I seem to remember from my long ago school days  . I hope you are having a good Friday, Deborah!

I hope Shasta's appy is better this evening and the cypro helps when you do have a chance to give it to her. I'd want to be there to monitor too. Enjoy your spring break.

Did you get any ondansetron to use with the cypro? Nice low yellows this morning, I hope the appy picked up. Yay for spring break!

So, I gave Shasta a 1/4 tablet of cypro tonight and I think it totally helped. She ate her dinner, left overs from this afternoon and is slowly working on her over night snack of BFF Chuckles. She turned down her FF T&G, so I pulled out the BFF Chuckles. She's still out of sorts, so I will call on Monday to see what they suggest about getting blood work done again. I just really don't want to sedate her this time. nailbite_smile

Liz, my vet did not write us a prescription for Ondansetron because he didn't feel she needed it since she wasn't prone to vomiting. He did a quick check on the Ondansetron and found that it was used with cats that had been through chemo treatments, etc. and didn't feel that Shasta would need it. He did say that I could call back and request it if things changed once I started giving her the cypro.

I'm not sure if I should be a little freaked out or not, but after I gave her the cypro, she started talking more. Don't know what that means. She just looks a little miserable. We're going to go to bed soon, but I'll be around tomorrow. Although, I may decide to paint the back porch since the guy who is supposed to be doing it is taking FOR-EVER! :-x The painting of the house has taken over a month...more like a month and a half and it's a tiny, one-story house. grr_red Sleep well, my friends.
