Hear Ye Hear Ye - all the chatter that you'd like to share - we'd all like to be able to hear it without having to open, read and post in every cat's condo. besides, that makes it easier to keep the condo topics on our fabulous sweet kitters.

you're invited to post here.

my PSA for today is that western oregon is covered in snow. yes, on march 21, i'm home (still in pj's at NOON:11 SHHHH) and watching it come down today.

watching excitedly for Elie's and Mikey's OTJ countdowns!

Having an exceptionally sad week, really missing my boys, plus reading about all the new Angels at the Bridge... A little bit of Piglet helps to warm the saddened heart.

Piglet's playlist: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLA075BDEF2479B576

My ailing foldie girls are holding their own. Holleigh-berri's renal values are still above normal, but steady. Daphne Moon had a re-check at Angell on Monday and she got the go-ahead for another dose of oral chemo, plus I can decrease her subq fluids to once a day (so happy about that... she really hates it, and she's so thin and tiny :-|). Piglet will be 8 months old next week. I guarantee there will be photos and videos. I have a photo of Butthead at 8 months, and I want to show them side-by-side. I keep having stupid thoughts like "Oh, I would love to see Piglet and Butthead together", but if I had Butthead, I wouldn't have Piglet. I also find myself thinking of Donny more and more lately, and I'm not sure why

*sigh* Happy thoughts! Think of Piglet and find some happy!

Trying.

aw, cini mini even has the new Timeline! what a guy! very high tech of him. i like his fan club!

anya has a profile too, that my foster daughter made for her. punkin apparently doesn't have a bean that loves him enough to make him a profile. :-D

Awww, Piglet, you are such a cutie! Your kitties sure lead a great life, MJ. They are just never with us long enough. Big hugs.
Liz

aw, my favorite part of piglet's video (what a star) is just his purring. mr happy boy! purring away. punkin purrs for hours most days and i just love it. you know it's not too bad to get poked when he doesn't mind purring through it.

i caught a video of punkin and anya this morning - anya's licking the neosporin off of punkin's ears. made me wonder if that was adding to her already-sometimes-a-problem poos. but she was so dedicated and loving him that i didn't stop her. might have to figure out plan b with the neosporin though.

Double awww...with Piglet and his video! I love his face and folded ears; can you send him over for a playdate with Mags? I promise she'll be good. :-D

MJ, I'm sorry you''re feeling so sad this week. Sometimes the loss just comes over us, when we least expect it.
Piglet is just so darn cute. :-D

(((MJ)))
Piglet, Piglet, Piglet.... you are SO cute! I laughed at the kiss on the lens and then his prancing around showing us his butt. What a great little box he has full of crinkly paper and jingly bells. And the purr just melted my heart. I needed that. cat_pet_icon

Yikes, Julie! Snow? It's supposed to be Spring isn't it? Here in Tennessee I opened our pool yesterday and took the granddaughters swimming. The air temp was 80 degrees and the water temp was a nice heated 85. This is kind of early to be warm so consistently, even for Tennessee. But we enjoyed playing in the water and the kids enjoyed squirting me on the head - mainly because I told them I didn't want to get my hair wet. Sigh.... oh well. The giggles were worth it.

MJJJJJJJJJ What a sweet adorable baby that Piglet is! :o --He is just beautiful--and that purring, he is a heart melter!!--Dont be sad, be happy for the Blessings of this sweet kitty!!

Aw...does anybody else hear Da Butthead coming through in lil Piglet's purr???

what a doll!

and while it doesn't charm me as much as his video, I couldn't help but burst out laughing at this compilation...

Oh, that Piglet is just adorable!!!!!

Racci's toybox is a basket that all the toys are in and we take them out on the floor or her bed to play with. I like that crinkly bottom.

Binks has a little Red Flyer Wagon that his toys are in...and now that we live with the "Turdie Gurlz"...
he assiduously puts his toys away EVERY night

And speaking of the lil Manx bugger...
he resumed his companion cat duties a cpl weeks ago. :-D
One of the nurses carried him out of the Alzheimer's Haven this afternoon,
and when I went to find him, he had already polished off some canned dog food
and was topping off the afternoon snack with a bowl of vanilla ice cream. :? :o

Today was gonna be a BG check day, but now....ummm- not so much!
And to finish off his shenanigans, I remonstrated loudly with him on the ride home.
As he knows i have two interviews tomorrow,
he showed me his disdain by peeing all over the suit I had just ironed

seriously cd? you went swimming outside today? i'm curled up in a chair with a quilt on me that i'm working on, fuzzy socks on my foots and wearing a fleece. i also turned the thermostat up because i hate being cold!

after i've been complaining that punkin won't snuggle with me, he spent the last half hour on my lap. the key? the quilt mentioned above that i'm working on was spread on my lap. so of course, a lap occupied by a quilt is a more attractive lap than usual. especially if one is working on it and therefore the lap cat can inconvenience the bean! ;-) cat_pet_icon

i don't care, i was so happy to have him there.

love the silly video, celi. ohmygosh, i kept seeing something funny and thinking i'd mention it, then there would be something else more funny. but the  of all - the monkey at the window who gives his very obvious opinion of the man holding the kid!

how did your interview at w-s go?

Actually, a monkey handler will tell you that displaying the butt is a "mark of affection"...
which is why I don't have monkeys

Thanks for asking, Julie!
Williams Sonoma said i "was not a good fit" for the coordinator position at their store
then promptly asked if i was available to interview Monday for the manager position :-D :-D .
Much as i was thrilled by that, i've had lots of action job search wise this week...
and am really excited by interest from Savers/Value village.
70% of their profits go to their non-profit partners, and there's just something attractive about using
your talent for turning a profit to help others...something I'm sure folks here already know :-D
I have an interview tomorrow with Goodwill...and with Savers.

On the other hand...W-S offers a 40% employee discount :o :o

that definitely did not look like an act of affection! i thought i'd become instantly an expert at reading the non-verbal signals of the monkey - apparently not.

i'd been looking for a binks condo to ask you, then when you posted here decided i could ask here.

it's good to have options! i like to go for all of the options until something becomes obvious. play every angle, you know.

Oh Celi, did Binks really pee all over your suit? :-x Zener likes to pee in suitcases when I am packing for a trip, which is also  :-x . Then again, these days, I don't travel much so it's not a problem.  Good luck with the interviews! Paws crossed for you here.

((MJ)) I've been meaning to ask how the appoiontment with Dr. B went. The videos of Piglet are cute :-D

Celi, I hope you get the job

Leroy is still in one piece @-) No polyps were found with the scope, just some irritated odd looking tissue. Biopsy and culture didn't show anything :? Dr. B has Leroy on 0.45 ml of Azithromycin for 10 days. If that doesn't work, he's going to try prednisone. Leroy hasn't actually coughed for nearly 2 weeks now  Since being on the antibiotic he is doing a lot of lip smacking :? A plus for having ADD: Leroy promptly forgets that syringe = yucky tasting medicine

It's summer-like weather this week here :-D Leroy and Emma are enjoying the breezes coming in through the open windows. Emam loves to bird watch. Next week it's back to the usual cool early spring temperature :?

I'm a little stressed and frustrated with work these days :? I did well on my performance review for last year and received a lot of positive feedback and comments and praise from customers and co-workers. I took on a huge project mid-year for a rather demanding customer and managed it well. And yet when it came time to decide who gets promoted, I was passed over for someone else :? It didn't come as a huge surprise but at the same time I was disappointed. And it makes me feel even more unappreciated  Nearly 7 years at the job, 6 of those years doing what I'm currently doing even before the team was created, and no promotion kind of sucks. I have discussed this with my supervisor before and there's always some excuse why I wasn't given a promotion :? So I'm cranky and stressed today and my supervisor has noticed it and did inquire but I was not in the mood to discuss the promotion issue. It wouldn't have changed anything anyways and my supervisor would just come up with more excuses why I wasn't give a promotion.

A plus for having ADD: Leroy promptly forgets that syringe = yucky tasting medicine

I think it's awful that you got passed over for promotion, Squeem

But it's great to hear that leroy's not coughing! :-D

aw squeem that's lousy. makes a person feel unappreciated.

good thing that leroy isn't coughing anymore - it's always nice to hear it wasn't anything significant. i remember when my daughter was 3 i took her to the pediatrician (OMG i almost wrote VET) because she developed a weirdo blinking thing. i was thinking Tourette's or something. he said to me "3 year olds are a veritable fount of tics." kinda a quotable quote. perhaps leroy was just being expressive. ;-)

i need to thaw out the hummingbird feeder. normally i have a lot of traffic out there and i completely spaced on it today. too much snow to get to it.

That sounds promising Celi. Good luck! I also wanted to mention the funny video. It's fun!!

Racci puts her toys away or keeps them right by the basket too. My 3 yr old grandson likes to come over and play with them so whenever he comes over, she searches the house afterwards to put them all back. Any time she catches me in the bedroom she runs over to the 'toybasket' , looks up at me with those big eyes asking me to come play. She's not happy till I sit on the floor with her and pull them all out and play with her one at a time.. They're such characters.

Melanie & Racci

Maybe it is just a tic ohmygod_smile If it is I hope he grows out of it.

Leroy zoomed all night long @-) Not sure if he was affected by the warm night or had serious crazies or what bcatrun_gif

Yeah, no promotion stinks :-Q The person who did is actually on my team :?

I wish your company subscribed to the philosophy of the best company I ever worked for...
Servant Management.
I was taught that the only reason mgmt exists is to develop and enrich the folks we work with...
their growth and potential are an invaluable asset that we are trusted to develop and nourish...
and the only things that make us shine are their accomplishments.

It works beautifully if we all truly buy into the belief.

:YMHUG: Squeem...hope it gets better for you at TBP.

Thanks, Celi :YMHUG:

I wonder what goes on in Leroy's head sometimes @-) Maybe something like "Ooo.. plastic stick thingy! I want to see! ... Hey! Why are you poking it in my mout.... Blech! Blech! Yucky! Ooo... a piece of fuzz!"
