Hello all,
I made the hard decision to put Cain to sleep this morning. I took him into the second vet this morning. She told me that if the transfusion worked, he had low chances of getting well. I felt after some hard thinking that he's gone through enough. She was very supportive of me with either decision I made. She thanked me for doing so much for him. I feel like I failed him a bit. But I do know I did try to do what I could.
So Cain went onto the rainbow bridge this morning. He'll see two of his sisters and mom there. Cain's going to be buried in our yard with his family. Brownie is the only remaining cat in that litter still with us.
Cain was such a mellow orange tabby. Always ready to get in my lap or sleep next to me on the bed. And always willing to wake me up at too early hours so he could get fed. He was ever so eager to steal my computer chair as soon as I walked off. I'll miss him dearly.
I'm not sure how Brownie's going to take this. There has always been a cat in the house besides her.
I want to thank you all so, so much for all the help and vines and just letting me ramble. Y'all helped me get him into remission in a fast time. Y'all supported me so much. Thank you all. I can't say it enough.
