Yesterday

Welcome to Spring, everyone!

The great news of the day is that the box of Terumo syringes that @rhiannon and shadow (GA) sent to Rusty arrived! How wonderful! Thank you, Rhiannon!!

Our snow is melting away, for the time being anyway. Rusty is good. His appetite was better both yesterday and today, so hopefully he'll keep on eating. The beans were going to celebrate the arrival of Spring today with friends at one of the lean-tos at Adirondack Loj in the High Peaks. We were going to hike around Heart Lake and have a bonfire at the lean-to. But I started the day with a bad migraine (haven't had one in months) and by the time it cleared out, it was too late to go to the festivities. Oh well, tomorrow is a long snowshoe to Avalanche Pass, and I plan to go on it. Weather is supposed to be snowy and mild, but maybe rain in the afternoon. I hope not!

So sorry you had to miss your planned hike yesterday. I hope the snowshoe today goes well. Sounds fun! Enjoy that snow while you still have it. Our passes etc are still snow covered, should be for a bit longer....
