Good Morning, Everyone, on the First Day of Spring (Spring arrives at 6:45 P.M. in the Eastern time zone),

Rusty had a pretty good night, but at one point spit up a small pod of vomit (I think it was a partially digested freeze-dried treat). He finished most of his nighttime food. This morning he is a bit subdued and I think he may be slightly under the weather. We'll keep an eye on him. (Another possibility: He heard me talking to the vet center in Vermont yesterday and may be apprehensive, smarty cat that he is.)

I've decided to forego the snowshoe today. I feel really good this morning and don't want to subject myself to a relapse. The potluck will be enough to celebrate the arrival of spring!

A nice blue start for Rusty today. YAY! I will hope the lagoon meister plans on a visit there today. Right Rusty?

I suspect Rusty tuned in on the pending vetty visit... somehow they always know! Well, hope all is well and that the subdued kitty is a temp thing, expect so.

Bummer on the n o snowshoe, but think your choice not too is a wise one. Enjoy the potluck tonight! Get that chili made?

Nice blue start for Rusty! Sorry about the spit up. I hope it was short lived. It would be so nice to know what goes through those sweet little heads of theirs, huh? Good idea on the snowshoe. It is too hard to recover. Have a great day Ella!
 
Nice start for Rusty....maybe the lagoon in a little while? I hope his tummy has settled and he's feeling more like himself now. Wise to skip show shoeing today...that was a wicked cold you had. Have a great day, Ella!
 
Nuthin wrong with that blue start! I bet you are right, he heard you discussing his US with the vet center- cats are smarter than us beans! Good move to skip the snowshowing- why tempt fate?? have a fun time at the potluck!
 
Rusty just ate a hearty lunch of Merrick chicken paté, contributed to his litterbox, and then went dashing around the living room. I guess he's feeling OK! He's about to take his afternoon nap in his little bed by the radiator. Beans are heading out to the post office. I made the bison chili first thing this morning so that it could sit and "meld".

Yay! I'm so glad Rusty got whatever it was out of his system and is feeling better.

I'm sorry you had to skip the snowshoeing, but I do agree it was probably the best decision. Enjoy your potluck tonight!
 
Rusty is taking a rest day in the blue grotto. :cool:
I should have gone snowshoeing. I slipped on ice (disguised as a sand pile from a plow), hit the pavement in the road (landed in a puddle of icy water and mud), and banged up my hand, shoulder, and knee (all on my "good" side)! If I'd fallen snowshoeing, I'd have landed in snow! Bummer!! (I'm fine, really, just angry that I wasn't more careful; I knew there was ice under the sand. Gotta think all the time, unfortunately!!)
We're off to the potluck soon. Back in the later part of the evening. Rusty will hold the fort and PMPS will be a little early.

I'm good. Rusty had a nice blue rest day and is now on duty in the Lagoon. Potluck was great. The snowshoe bushwack was a horror story: tell you about it tomorrow. I'm glad I didn't go!!

Sorry about the fall..glad you're not hurt any worse than bumps and bruises...remember, beans don't bounce the way our kitties do!
 
I'm glad Rusty found the lagoon after all - and it feeling better. Maybe he forgot you were thinking about the vet.

Sorry about that fall - I pulled out the Arnica today too. :oops:
