Good Morning! Got a +5.5 in the night-467! Eeek! Didn't want to see those numbers again. :cry: Hopefully he'll clear this bounce soon. Thanks for the help yesterday-I learn so much everyday. Today my challenge is understanding dropping numbers and second dips, which seems like maybe that was what was happening a few days ago. Have a great day!

Update-A bit nervous-I have to leave for 2 hrs between +3 and +5. His +1 number was so much lower than his AMPS number, so I am hoping he doesn't drop as low as he did yesterday while I'm gone.

You'll understand everything you'll need to know about diabetes over time. This certainly doesn't happen over night, I tell you. :lol: The best way to determine when Prince will give you dropping #s is to get those +1 and +2 tests after you've given the shot. Those #s are the key to seeing how he'll do over a couple of hours' time as the onset of Lantus usually happens about 2 hours after it's given. Hang in there; you're both doing a great job, and you'll see the #s improve. Just takes patience, and time.

Prince definitely dances to the beat of his own drummer! Of course that is probably the only characteristic that is typical and predictable about FD....every kitty does their own thing, and when you think they're being predictable, they change things up! It will be interesting to see what Prince has in store for you today!
