Good morning.

Two days ago Osha gave me a beautiful blue cycle during the day and then a green cycle that night. She has been stuck in yellow ever since. I guess this is still a bounce? Once again, I sure wish I would see some blue.

I should have the blood work results from the vet appointment later today.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Amanda, any chance of putting the bloodwork values on the Labs page of Osha's spreadsheet? It makes it so much easier to see trends that way.

Planning a dive again tonight Osha?

Ok, I tried my best entering the info. It is a bit confusing to try and figure out and some of the reference ranges are different than what is on the SS. Let me know if it helps. The ones done on 5/6/2016 were done at a different vet than the ones done on 9/15/16 and 3/17/17

our kitties in the diving and the bouncing... ugh.. come on Osha flat lines are beautiful things... or a gentle wave mama bean would love to see that too... now slowly dip those paws in the lagoon please... hope your day was a good one Amanda and that those BW read good :bighug::bighug::bighug:

ome of the reference ranges are different than what is on the SS.
Then change what is on the spreadsheet to what is on the labs report. I changed where Neko got her bloodwork done and had to put a second column of reference ranges in. It's not so much a matter of different vet, but different lab doing the bloodwork.

Amanda, you can look at my "labs" tab and see how I did it if you need a reference.

IMO - they look great. Will be interesting to see what Marje says. :)

Ok, I am in bed for the night so I will do that when I get home tomorrow from work.

Thanks Lizzie. I looked at your labs tab and that helps me.

she has a little blood in her urine - could be from the cystocentesis (the procedure where they put a needle in her bladder to get the urine)

I do think this is where the blood came from. I was with her when they did it and the vet had trouble getting the right spot. It took several tries and some different positions.

Hi Amanda

Sorry I didn't get here earlier to look at the labs.

I think they look pretty good. I wouldn't worry about the low ALT and AST. Nor would I worry about the chloride, protein, and monocytes abnormal values. Her potassium is a tiny bit low...it should really be above 4.0 but insulin can cause the uptake of potassium into the cells and the cells is where you want it so as long as it is not a dropping trend, its fine.

Before the SDMA existed, we would look at the urine specific gravity as a possible indicator of early CKD. If the USG is below 1.040 and the creatinine above 1.6, it "could" be a very early indicator of CKD developing. However, USG changes
throughout the day and can become more dilute, as we are seeing,

However, the SDMA is normal and it is the best indicator of early CKD so she's fine.

Deep sigh of relief!!!
