Recap of 3/19

AMPS 364 +3=289 +5=201
PMPS 127 +2.75=181 +3.5=168 +5.25=161 6.5=153

Another bounce for Max but hopefully it won't last long. He was still going down slowly last night or maybe not. I had to call it a night and I knew he wouldn't drop dangerously. He was driving me crazy meowing this morning and so I tested him early, just 30 minutes, to make sure he wasn't super low. I'm not shooting early. Just tested a little early.

Re: 3/20 Max AMPS 275

Hi Jane. I didn't forgot. I typed the recap in the early morning hours while deciding whether to test Max one more time before going to sleep. i decided I wouldn't.Thanks for looking.

Re: 3/20 Max AMPS 275

Hi Elise,
I am finally over here to and happy to have found you.
I still wish I knew what I was doing but know so much and am getting a little wiser.
Dumb question but what does the f stand for before your shot number. I have seen where people put a s before shot too what am I missing????
Hope you and Max have a good day.
Yvonne and Freddie

Re: 3/20 Max AMPS 275

Hi Yvonne. I am glad you are posting here. I've written to you since you started but maybe before you knew how to check? The F stands for fat, a slightly larger dose. Max drops too fast on 2 units and wasn't coming down enough on 1.75. He still keeps bouncing though. Get ready for some nearly all nighters and some scary times but know that you are in good hands. I hope Freddie is doing well today.

Re: 3/20 Max AMPS 275+1.25=344

I did a +1 since his first test was early and of course it went up to stinky pinky. Definitely bouncing yet again. I hope it passes quickly.

Re: 3/20 Max AMPS 275

Welcome to you, Yvonne and any others new or fairly new to LL! We've been a bit irregular with keeping up with condos in the last few weeks, so sorry we missed welcoming you on arrival!

There are a lot of abbreviations and funny ongoing stories in LL (Lantus Land). Laughter is such good medicine and a much needed stress reliever in caring for our FD kitties. There are folks here using micro doses - or drops - and not always up or down by 0.25 unit. The stickies at the top of the page are very helpful in understanding the dosing and in the "new to the group" sticky, there is an explanation of the micro dosing. In the beginning, I printed off the stickies so if we ever lost power (which happens quite often here in the mountains) I would have a hard copy. I read this over and over, gosh, it can be so overwhelming! It takes quite a long time for all of this to sink in, and after three years here, I'm not sure it has yet.

Questions are great and there are so many here with lots of experience to help. We've been doing the dance for just about three years now, and we are so grateful to all the help we receive!

Anne

Re: 3/20 Max AMPS 275+1.25=344+4=176

Well, this bounce didn't seem to last long but the big drop might lead to another one. I just fed him again and he is eating. I'm trying to give him his mini meals before +6-7 now but since I need to be away after that until his PMPS I leave a little food out. Yesterday he didn't touch it.

Re: 3/20 Max AMPS 275+1.25=344+4=174+6=125

I have to leave but I think Max will be fine. I guess I won't know if he slides into green but at least he is in blue so I can leave without worrying.

Surf safely today Max - looking good at that +6. I love how fast he's getting over bounces now. :-D

If in doubt, leave food out - you're doing the right things Elise. I hope you come home to a nice number.

Re: 3/20 Max AMPS 275+1.25=344+4=174+6=125

Thanks Wendy. Every time he clears bounces quickly it seems within a few days he is back up. I hope now it is different. Neko is looking good as well.

I'm at the hospital. If my mom would get a little stronger and walk we will be out of here soon. No infections and most of her numbers look good.
