Good Morning LL!

Well, I'm sad to report after a 9 day run of no asthma that we had an attack this morning  The AC upstairs decided to go on the fritz last night, so we all ended up sleeping downstairs. We left all the windows upstairs open to get some circulation, because it was like a sauna  K gets his breffi upstairs in bed with us (like Anne and Zener!) so he ran upstairs ahead of me this morning when I went to go get his testing supplies. Within 5 minutes of being up there, he started coughing, the poor guy. I gave him hit of Albuterol, which stopped it, but it may have spiked his AMPS this morning, I just don't know. I have to go to work soon, but DH is home waiting for the AC repairmen to come out, so I will tell him to get a few tests. K is back downstairs with us, and was confused about eating breffi in the kitchen  He is definitely a creature of habit.

Thank you to Devon and Grace for stopping by our condo after we signed off last night. Sending vines to all puds and beans in need. I hope everyone has a great day!

Re: 3/20 Kismet AMPS 147

So sorry to hear about Kismet's asthma attack. It must have been caused by the "fresh air"! I hope that you can get the a/c fixed as soon as possible. Hey Kismet, in the meantime, stay downstairs!!

Hugs & scritches,

Ella & Rusrty

Re: 3/20 Kismet AMPS 147, +2 187, +5 105 Asthma :(

Hi Ella, yep, it's a bummer. This +2 is the highest number we've seen in weeks    Stoopid asthma. Spring and Kismet to do get along... poor baby. He had his allerplex in his breffi, so I hope that helps some. He seems to be feeling good now, but his numbers are reflecting the asthma stress. At least I don't have to worry about him today... it's a long day for me, teaching, office hours, and then class tonight. I usually try to swing home around 3:30 to check on him, but I don't think I'll be needing to today. Poor Kizzy... he was doing so well and the new dose was finally kicking in and BOO.

Hi Angela, thanks for stopping by. I hope we see some better numbers tonight!

I am going to try giving him an extra dose of Allerplex in dinner tonight. Paws crossed that he breathes easier.

I'm off to work, have a great day everyone!

Re: 3/20 Kismet AMPS 147, +2 187, +105 Asthma :(

Well, I ended up cancelling office hours and coming home. I have to go back in an hour, but wanted to check on the boy. DH has a touch of the flu, we think, which may have been what was wrong with me last week when I was running weird fevers.

The stooopid compressor needs to be replaced, and the landlord wants to wait until tomorrow so we will be sleeping downstairs again. I can't wait to move... We've had so many issues with this frogging A/C.

K has come down quite a bit, but since +5 is usually his nadir, it doesn't look like he will be lagooning it today. But there is always tonight! Hope everyone is having a great day.

Re: 3/20 Kismet AMPS 147, +2 187, +105 Asthma :(

Poor kitty. I just have a hard time wrapping my head around a landlord who doesn't fix the AC when you live in a hot and humid climate. How about offering to send him the vet bill, too?

Re: 3/20 Kismet AMPS 147, +2 187, +105 Asthma :(

To be fair, the AC guys didn't get here until late and had to diagnose the problem. They're asking for 2 grand, and the landlord wants to have another company come out first thing. We were assured that it will get fixed tomorrow. Fortunately, this house has 2 units, one for upstairs and one for down, so we're not roasting... the upstairs is off limits though! And of course it's a stinking hot day 82 blergh. But yes, I agree with you! The LL should pay for the vet bills

Re: 3/20 Kismet AMPS 147, +2 187, +105 Asthma :(

Hi Courtney. Sorry to hear that Kismet had an asthma attack but glad that the Albuterol got it under control.

Hope your DH is feeling better this afternoon.

I'm with Sienne on your goofy landlord not doing an immediate fix on your A/C.

Have a good a day as possible without an A/C.

Re: 3/20 Kismet AMPS 147, +2 187, +105 Asthma :(

Aw, poor Kizzy. Sorry about the attack, but at least you were able to get it under control quickly. I hope you have a better night tonight!

Re: 3/20 Kismet AMPS 147, +2 187, +105 Asthma :(

Courtney, hope the A/C gets fixed tomorrow. Glad Kismet is better and sending healing and feel better vines. Hope all can get some rest tonight.

Re: 3/20 Kismet PMPS 193 Asthma :(

John, Amy, and Ann, thank you all so much for stopping by and for your well wishes.

I just got home and was hoping I'd see a better number for PMPS, but it got worse  193! I imagine he is probably in the yellows now after eating dinner. DH was teaching tonight (he goes to a satellite campus about 50 minutes North on Wednesdays) so no one was home after +6 until PMPS. I don't know if he had any more asthma incidents, but I wouldn't be surprised if he did judging by this number. He was upstairs on his tower in the heat, so it could also be that maybe that is affecting him? I closed all the windows up there so no allergens could get in. Poor Kizzy! He's down here now with us, lying on the couch next to me as I type. He seems okay, he was very happy to see me when I came in, but he seems sleepy. Paws crossed we get some better numbers tonight.

Re: 3/20 Kismet PMPS 193 Asthma :(

Awwww, sweet Kismet. I hope he starts feeling better and no more asthma attacks AND better numbers! Hope you are doing well and enjoying your Wednesday. When are you guys on Spring Break? Or do you even get spring break?

Re: 3/20 Kismet PMPS 193 Asthma :(

Aw, Kismet, I'm sorry you had a bad day today. I hope the AC gets fixed ASAP and tomorrow is better.
Liz

Re: 3/20 Kismet PMPS 193 Asthma :(

Aww Kismet. Poor guy with the asthma, and to have to deal w/ no AC on top of it all. Drat.

Hopefully you have a restful night sleep and then you guys get that AC fixed tomorrow.

Karen

Hi Deborah, spring break was last week, unfortunately! Too short if you ask me. It was nice to go btb, though!

Hi Rhiannon, that's so sweet of you, I hope so too! Paws crossed!

Hi Liz, it was a trying day for everybody, but things are looking up now ;-) Thanks for stopping by!

Hi Karen! I'm exhausted and was looking forward to catching up on sleep, so what does K do? He throws me a 66 @ +3  I'll take it though, especially after the day he had.

Sending Kiz healing vines! And hubby, too.

Bless your heart! You stayed up last night helping me and now you have to stay up tonight!

Sending you good sleeping vines when you can get to bed.
