Good Morning LL

Checkers ate well again. Actually his amps is slightly food influenced, as he yelled at me until I got up and fed him at +11.25..at that time bg was 113. He was not going to wait another 45 min, or so, to eat! angry(2)_cat
He seems to feel better on this hyper med.

I'm wondering something; personal, but still on topic.

Yesterday was a very bad day for me. I was nervous, anxious, hot, thirsty, incredibly fatigued, sleepy, but couldn't sleep/nap.
I thought all these symptoms were because I hadn't taken the half Lortab I need most mornings, for back/leg pain.


This morning I remembered, that yesterday I accidentally took my thyroid med twice , shrugged my shoulders at the time, and forgot about it. ohmygod_smile....that's what was wrong with me yesterday.

Now I'm wondering if that's how a hyperT cat feels. Who can know how the poor kitty feels.
Checkers is so different, back to his sweet affectionate self, now that he is on medication to lower his values.

I'm so glad to hear how good Checks is feeling on his HyperT meds...wonderful news! I bet you're on to something about how HyperT kitties feel without the meds...I'm sorry you had to experience that, though!

I'll bet you'll never do that again!! Glad to hear that you are feeling yourself this morning and that Checks is feeling good, too. That's a nice blue surf he's got going.
Have a fine day. Did you get a lot of snow from the big storm? We got about 10 inches, but east of us, in Vermont, they got a whole lot more.

When I was in the trhoes of my Graves disease before I had the medication, I thought so often about kitties wgo have hyper T. It was an awful feeling. I couldn't concentrate on anything, ran out of breath at the slightest exertion and was just loosing weight by the minute. It was an awful experience. the meds settled my over active thyroid and the difference is amazing. But they can't speak to us and tell us how they are feeling...must be awfulf or them to experience those symptoms....

whoaaa .. no wonder you didn't feel well yesterday! I'm glad both you and Checkers are feeling better and Checkers is back to his sweet self. And eating well. That's great.

PS: I realize that what I felt for one day, is nothing, compared to what people and cats, feel long term, hyperT.

DD, who is an RN says, I wouldn't feel that way, after only one overdose, but I didn't imagine I felt those things; she was on the phone listening to my sobbing....poor thing. Daughters are the greatest. :-D
I only today, remembered I took the double dose.

Point is, I believe the cats feel like crap too, and can't tell us. My only suspicion was Checkers' weight loss. He had been checked twice and number was within high normal.

Checkers, your mamabean missed the :mrgreen: on your condo. Nice cycle today! Great on the continued appy.

Interesting about the hyperT meds. One side effect of SRT can be hypothyroid and I've wondered what symptoms to look for in Neko, other than regular blood tests.

Nice surf for Checkers today. Barb I'm sorry you felt so bad yesterday, but at least you know why now. I hate to think our Hyper-T kitties feel that way. At least Checkers seems to be doing well on the medicine.

My philosophy is to use Mr. Greenie as soon as Zener hits green until the end if the cycle. :mrgreen: I'm glad today is a better day for you and Checks is having a great day! :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

Hi Barb. Checkers numbers,overall, aren't too bad. I'm sure he'll revisit the Lagoon soon.

Boy, you were lucky with the overdose. Next time if you want to know what a hypo cat feels like just ask one. :lol:
