Willow's home. Still dealing with pancreatitis. He was meatloafing last night in his bed, which he rarely does. He also had that bloated appearance again and wasn't moving around much. Tender belly. This morning, he hadn't eaten his overnight food and was not interested in fresh food (only took a couple nibbles). My mom checked on him midday and he hadn't eaten anything at all and he didn't want to move or be moved. So the vet and I decided it was best to have Willow brought in, in case something else was going on. The vet said he definitely looked bad, but he looked better than he had originally. He was given meds and fluids and has perked up some and eaten a little. Meds and fluids were sent home with him. The vet reluctantly mentioned steroids if we can't get Willow through this soon.

Healing vines from Mannie and me. I hope he can turn this around soon. The poor little guy! You both are in our thoughts. Lots of hugs and scritches from us both.

Have you tried tuna, and deli meat, and baby food, etc. ?
If all else fails,, you can try illegal food, I think, to get something in him.
If you can't find anything he will eat, can you syringe feed him?
Sending lots of eating vines

to Willow.
Feel better soon, baby.

Thanks everyone!

Sienne... Thanks! I actually printed that out last week and put it with Willow's printed SS's for future reference.

Are you still using Metacam for pain relief? If so, just keep alert to the fact that vomiting, lack of eating, issues in LB, and overall not feeling well may be side effect of the drug. It could be difficult to separate out the side effects of the Metacam from the pancreatitis.

Oh poor Willow. We know at my house what it's like to have pancreatitis and not want to eat. Tori has been struggling for a week now. Mind you hers was more septiciemia than the CP flare. I hope he continues to improve and he eats up a storm for you. As the others said please watch the Metacam. Tori had a real problem with it. It gave her a very severe gastritis that sent her out of remission after 2 years. A lot of people think of the renal issues with Metacam but the GI issues can be very severe as well.
