Happy appy, snuggly, spunky, feisty, and anti-jinxes. For the most part, things seem to be in proper order; however, during the overnight hours someone did pee a bit right outside the LB again. I don't want to say I hope it's Trix, but I do hope it's Trix only because we know she does seem to be having some sort if infection/bladder/kidney issues, whereas if it's another one of my crew, it will magnify my stress even further. I do follow Trix to the box as much as possible; so far the two incidents have occurred when I wasn't there - of course.

I posted this B-vitamin question in yesterday's condo, but it was later in the day....I don't know if anyone has the answer, but I'm going to repost today:

Quick questions about a good vitamin B complex. I was just about to order Jarrows when I looked at Tanya's CKD site...it says that it was reformulated to contain Calcium Phosphate, plus it contains sugar. Can anyone share thoughts about whether or not I should use this with Trix?

I'm really going to try and land my helicopter for the bulk of today if I can. I'm really causing myself quite a bit of stress and anxiety, so I am going to try to stay away from the computer as much as possible and focus on the studio and the house while no hovering....

With that.....prayers to all.

Amy

Good luck landing the helicopter today :bighug::bighug: The only experience I have with B was for Doodles neuropathy and we used the Vitacost B-12. https://www.amazon.com/Vitacost-Vitamin-B-12-Methylcobalamin-500/dp/B0046IET7C/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1488467356&sr=8-1&keywords=vitacost vitamin b12
Thanks, Karen...for Trix's anemia, she needs a B-complex. In the past, everyone loved the Jarrows BRight, but now it seems like it might not be ideal for a CKD/FD kitty....so I'm wondering if others have actually used it since the new formula has come out....

Hi Amy:)....sooooo identify with the whirring helicopter mode :nailbiting:. I have been giving Elmo Zobaline vit B as sugggested by homeopathic vet. Don't know if is a B complex but is designed for FD kitties. I am guarding Elmo kidney health as well so will be interested to hear who else chimes in here. Happy no helicoptering day to you :cat:

I don't think zobaline has other B vitamins in it - does Tanya's site give any recommendations?
The preferred in the past, according to Tanya's site, is the Jarrows BRight, but (also according to Tanya's they've reformulated it to include ingredients that might not be so kidney and FD friendly anymore...so I was trying to get a little feedback on how "bad" that new formula might really be for FD and kidney cats...

It's too bad Tanya's site gave the info about a change in the Jarrows, but not how that could affect a CKD cat. It would be nice if she offered an alternative suggestion, too. Does she respond to questions from readers? You could ask her.

I'm pretty sure I remember seeing that she only offers information but since she's not a vet she doesn't directly offer actual "advice". She did list a couple other options but for some reason that I currently can't recall they weren't quite as appealing as the Jarrows. I'm working in the studio right now for the first time in days, otherwise I'd go look at it right now. I'll look later...

A few years ago, I couldn't for the life of me figure out who was peeing outside the box (in a corner of my bedroom) - so I pointed a webcam at the spot and recorded it. It's probably the most boring 6 hours of video I have ever watched, but I found the culprit and she did indeed have a UTI.

Ok that made me giggle! I have had the same viewing pleasures! :) fun fun

I did get Jarrow's. The ingredients were changed but I didn't see glucose in the new jar. The phosphorus thing worried me but nobody could tell me of another to try and the injections do sting. B 12 doesn't sting. You need both B Complex and B12.

Amy, Just seeing this. When I was researching for Flame on Tanya's site and joined her support group, I found a lot of people still using the Jarrow's B-Right.
I bought some for Flame, but never got to use it. I have a whole UNOPENED jar of it here which I would gladly give you if you would like to try it. Since you are local in NJ, I'd be happy to meet you somewhere to get it to you if you'd like. I also have some Aluminum Hydroxide Phos binder left which you are welcome to have as well. Please let me know and we can make arrangements for me to get these to you. I'd love to see them go to someone here.
