Good morning! Simon keeps doing really well with his numbers, although I just can't seem to get his AMPS down to the greens. The rest of the day he surfs along but not in the AM. Another issue over the last few days is that he has started going to the bathroom on one of my rugs in the living room (not urinating, but the other). He had this problem about a year ago, but it stopped and now it started back up again. I just can't figure it out. Nothing has changed -- no change in litter, the boxes are clean, no strange guests in the house, etc.). Very strange. Simon is going to the vet tomorrow for a check-up so I'll mention it to the vet. In the meantime, I put furniture all over the place he is using so he can't get to the spot. Hopefully, he doesn't pick a new spot!

Have a wonderful day!

Re: 3/2 Simon AMPS 115

Hope everything's okay with Simon. With cats you just never know if they are using this as a way to tell you something is wrong or whether its behavioural. Anything changed in the area around his litter box?

I can't seem to get Maverick's AMPS consistently green either. I'll be watching the advice you get :)

Good luck at the vets.

Re: 3/2 Simon AMPS 115

Please do indeed mention it to the vet and take a stool sample with you.

Some things that could be happening....

Do you have one litter box or two? Sometimes, Krueger was this way, they like one box for pee and one for poo.

Odor control, even if you are cleaning up solids, there is still an odor left behind. Try some white vinegar on the spot. Spray on and just let dry.

Re: 3/2 Simon AMPS 115

Hope all is well with Simon and you and your vet can figure the litter box issues out.

Will keep you guys in our thoughts as you go to the vet

Re: 3/2 Simon AMPS 115

Good morning guys ... even though it isn't green, it's still a wonderful start to the day! I hope the vet can figure out what's going on with simon .. hope you guys have a great day!

Re: 3/2 Simon AMPS 115

Thanks for the advice. I didn't think about taking a stool sample to the vet, so I'll definitely do that to rule out anything. Simon is a very nervous cat when it comes to any changes, so there might be something bothering him that I haven't figured out yet.

Good idea on the stool sample. I hope there's a simple explanation, and an easy fix.

Georgia, I don't see where you have opened new insulin...are you still using your original insulin, or did I miss it on the SS?
