Hi Everyone,
We're back home. In NYC it was 50 degrees yesterday; in the Adirondacks this afternoon it was 15 degrees and dropping (lows around -10 expected tonight). Well, we had a taste of spring, but I was too busy chasing around after Wellness canned food with OK dates and getting the taxes done to enjoy it much. Rusty enjoyed lounging in the sunny window and playing a bit.
We had a good trip home today. Rusty is a remarkably good traveler: he sits on the arm rest or on Edward's lap, goes into the back to use his litterbox, ate a little food at the rest stops, and was just great. He's a bit high at PMPS, but there may be some food behind that number, as well as tiredness from the trip. Also, today was day 48 on this cartridge of Lev., so I am going to start a new one tomorrow. It'll be interesting to see if he comes down at bedtime this evening. All the time we were in NYC he never did come down at bedtime.
It was a relief to see that the case of Wellness turkey I bought just before we left for NYC is not on the recall list. But some of the empty boxes I "saved" to use as trays for potlucks are on the list. Some may date back to Stu! I have about 18 cans with the bad dates, but some are chicken (which Rusty doesn't really care for); the rest are turkey. I got a can of BG turkey 96% and Rusty was interested in it, but didn't eat much, preferring the Wellness in the other side of the dish!
Hope all the kitties are OK today. I really missed a few days, since I was only here sporadically. Tired tonight after driving for 6 hours, but will check out a few condos and then do a better "visit" tomorrow.
