Yesterday.
Good morning, LL.
Happy Caturday!
Yesterday was such a good day for Ripley.
Last night my DH and I were reflecting on the day, and he called it 'Ripley's Perfect Day.'
She was acting like her old self: begging to go outside to bask in the sun, then begging to come back inside for snuggles, then back outside, etc.
And last night I saw a side of her that completely melted me. She's never been one of those super-affectionate kitties. She loves to sleep on my lap any chance she gets, and loves scritches and pets, but she doesn't 'need' pets (like our civiecat and dog do). BUT last night, while I was on the computer, she squawked at me to be lifted to my lap (poor jumping abilities), and she nuzzled and cuddled me, let me squeeze and hug her and give her kisses, and she couldn't get enough. Her purr motor, though usually a little clumsy and sputtery, was going full speed.
And this lasted about half an hour.
Last night she wasn't the poor-old-weak-lethargic-sensitive-fragile-sick-kitty-in-the-rocking-chair.
She was such a happy, content kitty, and it seemed like the whole household could feel it.
She acted healthy.
