Yesterday, another one for the fur shot jar.:banghead::banghead::banghead: Wouldn't be so bad if I hadn't screwed up as she was heading into a bounce.:oops: I know the needle went into the skin, but it must have come out the other side. I wish we had another choice for syringes in Canada, with shorter needles.

I'm such a bad bean. Poor Neko - yelling away for breakfast early this morning. I knew she was high. At least now she's onset and on the way down. But it's save a strip day for me. At least it's sunny and she's enjoying the solarium.

When yelling for breffs wasn't working this morning, Neko came over and plopped on the rug, purring with her belly up. She knows that'll get me up for belly rubs when yelling doesn't do it. So manipulative these furry ones.:kiss:

That sucks you can't get the short needles :mad: as soon as I saw the subject line I knew what had happened :( So cute with the manipulations, they know that we find them irresistible don't they! On the plus side at least you know that Neko will get right back on track.

Sorry about the fur shot. I thought you could get the BD short-needle syringes in Canada. I guess not. How often do you go to Bellingham for supplies? You could rent a p.o. box there and order from ADW.

That Neko sure knows how to play you!! Hope she comes down later tonight.

How short of needles are you looking for? I can get the BD 8 mm needles in Calgary, and the pharmacist who I was complaining to over the discontinuation of the longer needles that I prefer said that they would soon be bringing in even shorter needles, so probably the 6 mm ones that people talk about. It might just be a matter of time, or finding a pharmacy that carries them.
 
Well, rats on the fur-shot. I'm sure Neko will get right back to it. I'm also a sucker for a sunny-side up kitty. :cat:;)
 
Still flat, maybe tomorrow. :rolleyes: Today I focussed on other pokey things. Got the pawdicures done and pruning the rose bushes.

@ Rhiannon - Cute pic, she did that again after dinner, along with a big stretch on her back. Manipulative!

@ Carla, Elise, Serryn, Elise, Marilyn, Jordi, Peg, Jen - Thanks for visiting the high flying girl. She got lots of sun today, so that makes up for part of what I did. BD is coming out with 6mm syringe needles. I can't remember where I saw the price, but it was quite a bit more than the 8mm ones. @Ella & Rusty & Stu(GA) - I currently border hop about every 5 months for test strips from ADW. I do have a post box in Point Roberts which is closer/shorter border line up than Bellingham.
 
Sorry about the fur shot, but if it's any comfort, my catsitter, Dawn, who is a long time RVT, gave Cinco two while he was there this weekend!!! She doesn't always have a diabetic animal to care for, but she's handled a lot of them through the years, plus given lots of other injections, so if she can do it, what hope do we civilians have for being perfect every time?! :rolleyes:

Neko has you well trained and knows just which buttons to push! Cats are really good at that, aren't they? And we just fall right in line......:joyful:
