Kitkat was such a starvin marvin this morning :cat:. Oh the drama, he wolfed down his breakfast and bugged me for more, so he had a big breakfast! And wow, he dropped down to 88 at +2. :D

We set out a small meal now at bedtime, hoping to ween him off the +9pm snack time.
We still withhold food for the 2 hrs prior to testing. (assuming he finishes this night meal well before the am test). Just wondering if that is still necessary for the pm test?

I am glad to see that low 100s within meter variance of green are not a deal-breaker for OTJ trials. I hope Kitkat enjoyed his big breakfast! Maybe he had important plans and needed to fuel up for the day… :p:cat::rolleyes:

HAPPY DAY TEN !!!!!

Thankyou again Carla :D.
Thankyou Diane :D. Little cutie hippos!!! And dressed in green? How suiting. Reminds me of our Zoo, they had a billboard up when their hippopotamus couple had a baby, the billboard stated "We got a new hippominimus!!! Come meet him at the zoo!" :p (I'm thinking.... we probably should keep the withhold going )

Oh my!!!!!!!! Me Too! For sure! lol ;) :D

You don’t need to withhold the food for any tests now you are not giving insulin. That is only necessary in the first few months see how carb sensitive he is and how much of a food bump he gets.
If you don’t have an automatic timed feeder you might like to get him one to give him a snack around the +9 at night .

@Bron and Sheba (GA) This is good news Bron, thankyou. He seems to trend better numbers when he has his meals and little snacks. :cat:. We're lucky to be home most days, so he gets fed a bit heavy in am (his usual grazer behaviour) and a bit less in evenings. It does look like that snack really late does impact his morning numbers, so moving forward i think I may need to try out a timed feeder. I really dont want to get up at 5 am every day to snack him forever now! (bad cat mom!) lol ;)
