Miserable day - 2 inches of sleet so far, more to come tonight. Tomorrow, I have no doubt Jersey will be out fluffin' up snow (errr...sleet), which she loves to do.

I do have a question. Jersey and I played with da bird about 30 minutes before her PMPS check. I'm wondering how much exercise affects bg values. Have any of you noticed a trend with your cats? Have you found that exercise increases or decreases their values? It should theoretically decrease values, right? I'm wondering if extreme exercise has the opposite effect???? Jersey chases the bird so hard that she literally huffs and puffs when she catches it.

It's a snow day tomorrow (a perk to being a teacher); my plan is to go to bed early tonight and get up for some night checks. I would also like to get a ketone test; I still haven't been able to catch the little bugger the last few days. I think it's a deliberate plan on her part to allow me to accomplish nothing but skulking around the litter box in hopes of catching cat pee on a little piece of paper. Yes, my husband does think I'm insane. To tell you the truth, there are days when I believe he may be correct.

Typically exercise lowers BG values but every cat is different (ECID).
