Happy appy, snuggly, spunky, feisty, and anti-jinxes. We're taking her to the vetty today for a BP check. Even though it's just for her BP, my anxiety is raging....seems like anything at all associated with vet causes me such anxiety anymore....big sigh.

Lowe's was actually pretty deserted yesterday...I think because it was just so damp, dreary, cold, blah, and blechy out, no one felt like doing anything. We got what we needed, and then pretty much semi-crashed for the rest of the day. We need some good weather to give us motivation - warmth and sunshine help even when we're working in doors!

I need to try and redirect my anxiety, so I'm going to keep myself moving as much as possible until Trix's appointment (3:00pm EST). Prayers to all....

Amy

Oh, Karen - it is with a different vet than Doodles's last appointment, I hope
Amy I hate March - it is always so dreary and cold and wet and grey
April isn't far away though - good luck at the vet

I don't like the vet, either, especially after our experience when Chase was first diagnosed. I thank God for this group. I can test at home with no problem and it keeps Chase's anxiety level down, too. I DO have to get him an appointment with a new vet, though. The boy has never really needed his teeth cleaned. I guess because he always ate hard food. But now that hard food is out of the picture it's very apparent that he needs this done. I'm just not sure when to do it. I know that procedures can make BG go out of whack, maybe because of the anxiety.

Good luck at the vet. Just remember to B-R-E-A-T-H-E. :bighug:

Thanks for all the vetty vines, everyone! It is just a BP check, but my nerves are so easily rattled anymore.

@Sandi & Chase in AZ :bighug: :bighug: :bighug:- bad vetty experiences are the worst. Hopefully the new vetty will be fabulous!!

Hey Amy, tomorrow is the Vernal Equinox. Spring is here!!!
Funny story about that...since Verizon dropped our beloved Weather Channel (I so miss Jim Cantore!!), we are stuck watching this pitiful generic sorta local version. Yesterday they were talking about spring arriving tomorrow....and they said one of the things we can look forward to is now the days will start getting longer :facepalm::facepalm:!!!! Holy moly, glad to know our weather people are qualified for the job :eek::rolleyes::confused::rolleyes:!!! (The other thing this channel does is runs it broadcasts in a loop, so we are often looking at forecasts that are hours old and therefore way out of date.)

Morning Amy :coffee::coffee::coffee:

Good Vetty vines for you Miss Trixie! I hope your BP check comes back great.

Have a good one today Amy. Whoa on the weather channel..... crazy. At least tomorrow is the first day of Spring. I so hope that Spring actually shows up.

Paws crossed for an excellent BP check for Trixie. Make sure they don't try to put the cuff on you too - I am sure your BP is skyrocketing too. :bighug::bighug: I know mine did with the anxiety.

@Sandi & Chase in AZ - It's a myth that eating hard food is good for dental health. Just like eating biscotti's doesn't help us (though I wish it did). ;)

All is good with Trix's BP...no need to adjust meds. Rough time, though...someone else was saying goodbye to their dog....so, so sad. I really hate going to the vet...don't like seeing animals upset, don't like seeing beans upset, don't like worrying about surprises from our own test results....

Not sure how I managed to miss your condo this morning, but I did  Happy to hear that Miss Trixie's BP is good!
Yeah I hear you about the vet's; I've certainly been there before and witnessed someone leaving in tears. And I've certainly done it myself more than once. And waiting for test results is the worst:eek:

Glad Trixie's bp and recheck good. Yes, vetty visits can be tough, both in memories, seeing others in crisis and in feeling their pain and worry. To paraphrase what Tricia once shared after Sootie passed on, sharing burdens, even if in a moment's connection from one stranger to another, helps to soften the pain.

Good girl, Trixie!

Amy, I'm sorry that your vetty visit coincided with one that was sorrowful for another bean. All of us know the sorrow of that last vetty visit. But we have to remember that we are giving a gift of love.
