3/19 Tessie Lou AMPS 310 - A New, quieter day.

Boy, am I glad yesterday is over. It was a very stressful day for Tessie--she didn't pee until granddaughter left in afternoon.

Upon further thought, it might, just might, have had something to do with my 9 year old granddaughter who is very curious and loves to help me. Could she have pushed the plunger in when it was laying on the kitchen counter and while I was busy testing her? And then been afraid to admit it afterwards, when she saw how upset I was? Later in the day, when I was getting things ready to test Tessie, she "helped" me by mirowaving the rice sock for 12 minutes! I told her to put it in for 12 seconds. Luckily, I smelled it after a couple minutes and got it out of there before it caught fire! It was pretty brown and toasty, though! :lol: :lol: So, I'm now positive Tessie didn't get any insulin in that first shot. All she got yesterday was the .5u I gave her. So today, I'm just waiting to see what happens to her numbers. She got her regular 1.5u last night and this morning. Will do a spot check here pretty soon.

Morning guys! I am glad that today is a better day for Tessie Lou. I enjoyed the read about your granddaughter and wanting to help, and how is has been a little stressful for Tessie Lou. I will be in a similar position here shortly when I start caring for my grandson once my daughter returns to work. So far Mannie is not bothered by the baby - it will be interesting to see how it all works out.

I read your condo yesterday but don't remember if I was able to reply yesterday. Glad it all worked out okay, better too high and be safe.

Poor Tessie Lou and being unsettled with your grand daughter. What goes through our cats minds huh?

Thanks guys, Tessie had a really good day. Good feedback on the springs! I ordered them off Amazon today, along with some Da Bird refills. Can't wait! You never know what's going to be a hit or a complete flop. I just spent $15 on a remote control mouse. It was completely ignored by both Tessie and T.J. But, my granddaughter had a ball with it! :lol:

Michelle, I think Mannie and your grandbaby will be just fine, that is if he isn't walking yet (?) You will sure have your hands full though! My granddaughter said the cutest thing after watching me (and helping) all day with Tess. She said, "Grandma, I told mommy I wanted my own kitty, but they sure are a lotta work, aren't they!" And I told her, "Yes, but if you love someone, you don't mind." I just wish Tessie wasn't so afraid of her. It's the weirdest thing. She is a very sweet and loving girl to Tessie and T.J. and Tessie just goes running when she sees her. I wonder if she was teased (or worse) by a child when she was homeless. If only they could talk..
