3/19 - Sushi Update - Fluid in Chest, etc...

Hi guys .. I guess I have not been following what is going on with sushi .. so sorry to hear about the fluids in his chest .. but thankful to hear this vet is helping him and you are seeing some results!

Hi Ashley,

I hope you get good news on what the fluid contains. I think a good question to ask your vet is "what are the chances for the fluid to return?"

After waiting all day, I had to call (grr) and ask for an update on Sushi. It doesn't look like the test results came in today, so I guess we'll be waiting till tomorrow. I did find out that the IV has fluids & diuretics. Hes on 40% oxygen; there's a chance they might try weaning him off the oxygen tonight.
That's all I know for now.

Yes, Julie the vet & I have been discussing whether the fluid will return. The test results should shine a lot of light on that. : )
 
Sending lots of healing vines for Sushi and hugs for you. What a beautiful kitty. I'm glad the overnight vet was able to help so much. Sounds like you have a realistic view of things, and I think that will help you get through whatever comes next.
