She works and now my schedule is all jacked up. I'm only working one day this next week afternoons. I'm really upset about it.

It would be easier to teach husband but he has no desire to learn
 
Only one day the whole week and it's an afternoon 2 to 6pm:confused: the time is fine. The one day is garbage

I even told her if it would be better I would move his shot time so I could close more often or move it so I could open...but instead I get one freaking day

Thanks Elise...so frustrated really could use more hours...trying to gear up for the vet visit that needs to happen in april...senior panel isnt cheap. Wont allow a fructosamine so that will save some...but then also will need insulin at some point too...le sigh

Thankyou Diane I'll look into those as an option for sure. We have some still I just knew if I was going to be ordering from Mark's old need tonhave some lead time and trying to stay on top of things.

When LM was first dx a good friend of mine had just been taken off lantus and gave me 5 pens..2 never used and three about half used all expire next fall. We are about to the three half used pens now but still probably add up to 2 full new pens.

I'm just so sad about this job I'm bending over backwards trying to help them since it's such a mess and I feel very unrecognized in that by the awful hours I get. I jump in and stay late when I can I've come home given shot and rushed back to help close. Taken shifts when others didnt make it...list goes on and on...

That sucks that you bend over backwards for them and they don't appreciate it. From what you have said you sure do a lot for them . It's not fair :bighug::bighug::cat:

Rain, if you ever need some support, look into DCIN. They might be able to help you out. There are some folks over on the Facebook group that work with them that I could chat with if you have any questions! They have two programs. A one-time deal (providing help with lantus, syringes and testing supplies) and also a long-term program that helps with the same as the above and limited vet assistant (this one requires proof of income).

I will definitely keep that info handy if it comes to that.

Had andecwnt day at work. Not gonna go all is well woo hoo yet but I think it will be getting better. Had a heart to heart with my boss and also told if she would train me I'd take over one of our pt managers that's leaving in a couple weeks...not tons of hours but more than I'm getting now:)

That’s great news! And sounds like you most certainly know the ropes already! She’d be crazy not to promote you!

One thing to consider for the insulin - since youre in the devil's armpit of the US, it is better to order from Mark's sooner vs later. That summer heat can do a number on things, even with the extra ice and insulation.

Are the pens 300 units? If you think you have the equivalent of 2 full ones left that's about 100 days from now...June might not be too bad yet.

Yes pens are 300u each. Inhave one with 220u and 2 with 160u each. So a total of 540u plus the about 70u left in current pen so really inhave about 3 pens including one I'm currently using.

ETA... I didnt realize I had that much left...thought there was less in pens

Devils armpit LOL. I've not heard that one but it's so true hahaha. July and august is worst.
