Look at my blue boy go! We're gonna swim in the blue lagoon and we MIGHT even try out the green one! His body's sayin' he needs to eat so he's grazing on 3%-4% with a few bites of 8% EVO dry.

Samson - I loved him over to the bridge this morning. These last few days weren't constipation or blockage, the other hip had finally started giving up as well as the base of his spine. He was in pain, no 'fixing' it. I knew this but DH needed the vet to tell him. I've slipped pain killers to him over this weekend without DH knowing it. That's probably the only reason he DID get up and move around some - it gave him the relief to spend time with DH saying goodbye. That was the last blessing I could give to the two of them. I'm SO SO SO thankful I did it - DH is handling the loss better because of it. Samson's now riding my shoulder and running free of pain, meeting the rest of his family that was already waiting, especially Miss BeckyBoo, his lifelong companion that we lost 3 years ago (another of MeanBean's that we took away the last 2 years of her life).

Thoughts and prayers for all needing them today - especially Venita and DH as they help Ennis cross today also.

(((((Lyresa and DH))))) I am so sorry about Samson. It is so hard to lose our babies. I'm glad that Samson and DH could be a comfort to each other these past few days.

Hi Lyresa,

I'm so sorry about Samson. He lived such a hard life. At least you were able to make his last few days more pain free and your DH got to enjoy spending time with him. I'm sure that meant the world to Samson. Having you both in his life was his bright spot of each day. He can rest now in peace. You did everything you could for him and can be comforted by that.

I'm so sorry there wasn't a last minute miracle for Sampson. But I'm sure he would say that the time you and DH were part of his life was his miracle. Hugs.

...and YUCK! We have fleas ALREADY! Everyone got dosed with flea meds and yucky stuff for worms...we're going to have fun aren't we? I got extra litter as this is usually quite messy... :smile:

I'm very surprised but very thankful - DH is handling today fairly well and no paralysis attacks so far. It's the LL thoughts and prayers and no one will ever convince me differently. THANK YOU!!!!

Lyresa, I'm so sorry that you and your husband had to say goodbye to Samson today. You both are in my thoughts.
I hope you two are comforted knowing how much love you gave him.

You gave Samson all the love he ever got and your final gift of love was to help him cross. He is now pain-free and surrounded by all of our GAs and his beloved Miss BeckyBoo. Thank you for helping this boy. We will light a candle tonight in his memory.

Many prayers for your DH tonight that he will be OK in this time of sadness.

KT is looking so good today. Keep it going, KT. You're gonna love the lagoon.

YAY KT!!!!! look at all that green on you!!!

(((Lyresa and DH))) our sympathy in your loss of your Samson but you all knew it was right and you showed him the most love you possibly could have. We hope he finds his way to Miss BeckyBoo and they live happy and healthy through eternity.

DH never had an attack all day, not even a slight one. I believe this was Samson's gift to ME.

(For those that don't know, Samson was a drooler that's now sitting on my shoulder....)

I'm so sorry. This was clearly a hard decision but one that Sampson needed you to make. He's at peace even if your hearts are heavy. This is just one more among the many gifts you gave him.
