I'm not used to low numbers for my Checkerboy, and get nervous at 59. I steamed a little fish for him, 'cause he didn't want to eat FF. Tested again in an hour and it rose to 79.
I hope this is a trend, and not just wonky numbers because of the dental anesthesia...it's been two days.
Last nite, I got a 86 before bed, and fed a bit of gravy FF....cause I couldn't stay awake. Three hours later I woke and was too groggy to poke his little ear, but he perked right up, bright-eyed, when he saw me, so I guessed he was okay.

Thanks Pat. I'm still not understanding how to determine dose, by the nadir; especially when the dose for Lantus should be consistant. Checkers was only 59 today and I didn't know what to shoot tonite, and I waited too long to come for advice. I had to make a decision. So I shot a really skinny Iu....or maybe it was a .75. Old eyes...lol
Maybe tomorrow I'll do the pmps a little earlier, so I have time to ask for advice.
I hate to be a pest, ya know?

not a pest Barb!

I always encourage people to get a +11, one hour before shot time, should u have dose concerns, that gives everyone about an hour heads up with your concerns.

You're doing great! Always ask for help, whoever small, just ask, ok?
You can always add DOSE Q to your subject line, as others have been doing here tonight.

:-D
