It appears that he is going to continue on this pink road for awhile. This morning was the beginning of his 3rd cycle on this new dose so I'm hoping to see some favorable results soon.

He started last night's PM cycle with a 298 but I hope that is the only similarity and he gives me some blue instead of pink.

Sometimes it takes all 6 cycles to make a difference, so hang in there.

Did you say that it was 86 degrees at your house today??! OMG, I don't know how I could deal with such heat, even in summer. But I'm glad that you enjoy it. Do you have a pool?

Thanks for stopping by Ella. Being from the Northeast it took a while to get use to the hot weather but I did and don't miss the the cold weather at all. Yes we have a pool and actually got in it today. We heat it up quite often during the winter.

Hurray for BLUE! Still early in the cycle, I hope he'll get some pretty low blues and mayhaps a dip in the lagoon! Have a great night guys.

Is he feeling ok? Any chance of anything going on with his mouth or any infection?

I'd be aggressive with his dosing and try to hit a breakthrough. I'd give him six cycles and if he isn't getting well into blue, I'd increase after six cycles. If he's getting into blue each cycle and holding onto it, I give him ten before deciding,

Thanks Marje. He's feeling ok and acting normal. He had his checkup at the vet this morning. He looked him over pretty good and all is well. He even gained some weight. He drew blood for a test. I can't remember the name of it but it's the one that will give him an average of his BG levels. I bumped his dose up after 6 cycles at 1.5 without any improvement. Tonight is his 4th cycle at 1.75 and the +2.5/157 is the first blue. If he doesn't show some marked improvement by the end of tomorrow's PM cycle I'll bump him again.

I'd ask for my money back on the fructosamine test, John. You don't need that test because you have real time data. The fruc test is for someone who is not home testing. It's not going to give you any result that you don't already have better data for....
