I haven't moved Gracie's shot from 9:30 after the delays and DST because I figured she may not be getting them much longer. She demands to eat earlier than that though, so I tested her before she ate and got a 70. I fed her FF Elegant Medley Shredded Chicken w/ Garden Greens which, according to Janet and Binky's site, has 10% carbs. I tested and shot an hour later to a BG of 107. I did a lot of reading yesterday about BG spikes after eating, and this appears to be in the normal range as far as spikes go. She didn't really have spikes from the very low carb foods she ate, but then again I never really tested for the spike and in many cases I'm sure the insulin negated some of them. In any case, she won't eat any of the low carb food she was eating, so I have to try other stuff.
Edit: I awoke this morning the the shaking of a chair in my bedroom. It faces away from me, so I can't see the seat. It looked like a massage chair from the back with all the movement. It was Gracie. My wife vacuumed and put all the toys in the chair, and Gracie found them. She was tossing and rolling and carrying on like a maniac. My wife got up to get the toys off the chair and the catnip squirrel was covered in drool. We have two chairs in there, and she jumped back and forth for awhile until she was ready to eat. She got on the end of the bed and stared at me until I got up. Seems Gracie is feeling just fine...
She is now on .1u. I'll stick with this for a few days and see what happens. I still don't dare mention what comes next, but we may be giving it a go sometime next week.
