Gobbles is in a good mood this morning! (Yikes on the 488 AMPS--today could be a repeat of 3/16 though...) He woke up all kissy with a few purrs thrown in for good measure. He ate well at +10. There was moderate pee in the LB which I expected with the pink numbers. There was also, however, some diarrhea--this started the other day; some diarrhea and some soft nuggets. I wonder if it the cypro? Seems to have started the same time he got his first dose. We'll see what today brings!

Q: He's had diarrhea a few days now; with a soft nugget in between--it coincides with when he started cypro 2 days ago or maybe the B12 injection 12 days ago; might that be the cause? Also, if I give him pumpkin for it--how much and I'm sure that pumpkin is carba-licious, correct?

We had a ticket purchase last night that put us over the $300 mark with the Basket Raffle fundraiser!!! This site really, really needs the money; consider buying a ticket soon. The tickets are so reasonably priced--you can buy one for $2, 3/$5, 7/$10, 15/$15 or 25/$20.

Sorry about the amps and the diarrhea. I don't think the pumpkin is to high in carbs....it's just pumpkin...just don't give pumpkin pie pumpkin...which I am sure you aren't.

Spot gets pumpkin on occasions, but usually for constipation. It works for both!

Bumping you for eyes on your questions. I've never used pumpkin or squash, so I don't know the answer about how much...but I'm sure someone here does!

Sorry about the diarrhea. I hope Gobbles gets over that soon. I don't know about the cypro or B-12 causing diarrhea. Hopefully someone with experience on these can give you some advice. I hope Gobbles slides down today.

Libby's then is no good (I didn't buy it yet--I'm talking like the big can you buy if you are going to make a pie)?

This much I know ;-) :lol: ...Libby's is fine, as long as it's the plain old "pumpkin" and not "pumpkin pie filling". The "pumpkin pie filling" has all the spices, etc, that you'd have in pumpkin pie, so just make sure that "pumpkin" is the only thing on the ingredients list. (I know, it's confusing! When I make pumpkin pie, I use the plain pumpkin and add my own spices!)

I use Beechnut Homestyle (green giant) baby food squash. Works like a charm. Be sure you get the stage 2 food. There is one that has sugar added. I use the one that is just squash. I mix one tbsp squash in one helping of food once a day.

Thanks Marje~I'll put that on my shopping list and keep it on hand. No diarrhea in the LB today (3/19) :-D
