Yesterday's Condo

Nice numbers for Gabby so far today. Unfortunately, it's the day for her annual vetty visit for a check-up. I suspect her numbers will be a whole lot less attractive later today. She does not like riding in the car. She likes the vet even less.

I'm feeling virtuous. I am beginning my household purge in preparation for the big move.

Back from the vet. I'm astounded that Gabby's numbers didn't shoot up. Her physical exam was all good and blood pressure was its usual normal! Blood work will be back tomorrow. Gabby has lost 2 lbs in the past 1 years since she last saw the vet. That's good news. The bad news, but not surprising news, is she needs a dental. I'd much rather have her get the dental here than with a new vet I don't know.

It turns out several of the vets in the practice I use here, which is an incredible cat only practice, trained in Columbus. They made a suggestion regarding a feline vet practice there which is the same one that Terri (Terri1962 and Lily) suggested to me. I love it when I get multiple recommendations and I am incredibly grateful at how this community is able to pull together to offer resources and support.

Great news on the vetty visit! I don't blame you on the dental. However, it has to make you feel better that your vets can refer you to someone that they trust. That is the worst thing about moving is finding a new vet, dentist, doctor, etc.
