Good evening all, Here is yesterday's Condo:

I'm just getting in here tonight. It's been another insanely busy day. (I think I need a few days off!) Anyway, I actually feel kind of bad I wasn't around most of the day to check Bonk's blood, as it seems he went rather low all of the sudden! I'm guessing that when the bounces come down, they come down fast. He was at 499 at shot time, and was down to 143 at +10, when I finally got back to testing. I can only imagine what he was at when at his lowest (hopefully not too low!)

Bonk is doing well, active, playing, sleeping in the sunlight, had another great bowel movement. In fact, I think his diet changes have really helped out with his megacolon too. So if I can get rid of these bounces, I think he is going to be okay.

I hope everyone had a great Saint Patrick's day! I'm sorry I didn't get back in and reply to each of you indivdually, but I really didn't have much time. The life of a computer tech is always busy! :lol: But I appreciate the comments, advice, and encouragement, and I'll figure out a way to repay all of you sometime. :smile:

One comment for Marje, thank you for the reminder to get some of his overnight readings. I was just heading off to bed last night when I saw your posting, and decided to grab that last test before bed because of it.

Wow, a nice BLUE! Looks like things are startung to happen. Keep on getting as much data as you are able to with your busy schedule. You will see patterns beginning to emerge.

If you can figure out a way to get a +2 too, a lot of times you'll get a pretty good idea of where they're going to go the rest of the cycle...although when they break a bounce, you can really never know when they're going to do it. If you look at China's spreadsheet today, you'll see at +6 she was still at 270...at PMPS 121, and +2 65...which tells me I need to test her more tonight until I know for sure she's not going too low. I can also choose to give her a little higher carb snack if I want to slow the drop down and try to get her up on her surfboard

With China, she usually responds well to a little 4% Fancy Feast, so I usually start there if she's dropping fast or low too soon. I can always bring out the big guns later if I need to.

It looks like I have a ways to go before I worry about Bonk hitting 65's. One bounce clears up, and the next begins right away. Unbelievable... I just had him down at 171 at PMPS, and within four hours, he is up to 414. And I know he hasn't gotten into Faolan's dry food. Though when I saw how fast he dropped from the last bounce, I was worried it would go right back up again. I didn't think it would go up that fast though.

Anyway, I'm off to bed. More in the morning. Good night everyone.
 
That's why they call them bounces Brian!!

I don't remember for sure, but do you leave food out for Bonk after you leave? He may have broken that bounce from this morning and gone a lot lower and you just weren't there to test, so we don't know for sure if he went lower, or if he went down quickly (like from 300-150 in 2hours) or if he's just bouncing off the blue's he got later in the AM cycle

There are so many possibilities, but it really doesn't matter. A bounce is a bounce! One thing I've been told though is that the highs on bounces aren't supposed to be as hard on them as if they just had high numbers, so hopefully he'll clear this one quickly too...but not TOO quickly!!
